    24/25 Diesel vs Gas Reliability

    I had a 2023 HC Duramax that had repeated electrical problems that GM eventually bought back. Liked it enough that I bought a 2025 as soon as I could. Love the engine, ride and mileage. Ran my wife to the airport this am, 45 miles each way at 34 mpg. Only 1400 miles on it.

    Interesting, I had the bench in my 2011 and 2017, and buckets in my 2023 and 2025 and the wife and kids said hands down buckets were better.

I put my order in, and was accepted in late Feb, build was last week in March (w/sunroof in HC deluxe) and took delivery in late April. My suspicion is that the demand for 3.0s is low...

    Nothing yet, but only about 150 miles so far. Will report back after some highway miles. I do like the interior updates though - bigger screens, no transmission buttons, new dash.

    I think allocations may have to do with the volume of the dealer. Dealer close to my house wouldn’t even put in an order for me b/c they didn’t know when it would be filled. Larger dealer (#3 in Corvette sales) put it in and was accepted w/in a week.

    Picked mine up this morning! Ordered in late Feb, built week of 3/31. Like the new interior and no more buttons for transmission.

    Yeah, 450+ mile trip from home to beach house on 1 tank was questionable w/previous 5.3s, now arriving w/over 1/4 of diesel.

    I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I loaded my 2023 w/5 passengers, a 70lb dog and a full load of cargo and get 28mpg+ driving I95 at 80mph.

    I had a 2023 Tahoe HC diesel that I loved (when it wasn’t in the shop - electrical issues). Just finished buyback last week and expect 2025 next week. Will post any differences.

    Magnetic v. Air Ride - noticeable difference?

    I have a ‘23 High Country w/air ride and have rented a Denali w/o and there is a noticeable difference. Even my 16 year old son noticed. Having said that, the non-air ride isn’t at all uncomfortable or unpleasant on the road.

    3x dead?

    I did contact GM customer service, and had done so after the second incident. A supervisor is supposed to call me Mon or Tuesday. After this happened the 2nd time they were responsive to me so I’m hoping the same this time and won’t have to get an attorney we’ll see.

    2023 Tahoe HC Duramax. - Well it died again today, this time fortunately in front of my house. Same situation - no crank but a series of error messages scrolling across the center on the dash screen. This is the third time. are they going to fight me on replacing?
