When I turn off my truck the radio screen turns on until it times out. Ive tried the other doors and also took door panels off and pulled entire harness looking for bad wiring. Truck locks when in drive and unlocks when put it park. Wierd part is sometimes overhead lights work and sometimes they...
Got it figured out! The new spark plugs i installed had cracked porcelain for cyl 7. Now can drive without limp mode. Still getting popping when its cold so will be doing intake manifold gaskets soon. So relieved after chasing my tail for 2 weeks lol now to figure out the various electrical issues
Not the issue. Still getting misfire on cyl 7. Did find my intake hose not connected so made rubber connection. Swapped coils and tried different wire for 7 no change. Ill be doing a compression test 2mrw any advice would be great
Update! I may have found the issue found a post related and the guy replaced his battery ground wire that was rubbed. Also found a loose aftermarket garbage lead for the battery thats corroded and loose. Hoping this solves the issue! Will update
Ive bought a 13 suburban with a cam. Guy claimed it rab fine until it didn't as it was his daily. Drove it home with it popping and running terrible. Only code was mass air performance. Once home found the vac line broken from pass valve cover to intake. Replaced line and still had popping...
Figured as much. Just had the pump for years and didn't have the money for an oe. It was leaking fuel pretty bad so at least ive put that behind me for now
BTW I used a air shears to cut the floor. Worked really well. Couldn't use a grinder due to it having fuel everywhere. Just found a you tube short where the guy tells you where to cut and it was spot on
Ya I was hoping it was something wiring wise cause I can't afford a gm pump right now. That's the plan is to change it to gm pump. See lots of negative reviews on aftermarket ones
I did the access hole in case there would be another problem. Thankfully I did in this case. Documents with pump say you may need to modify but I already had the correct plugs for the pump. Attached photos
Hello all
Had the recent fun of replacing my rusted out oem fuel pump. Had a precision one i Had got for free with the truck.
Precision Fuel Sending Unit/Assembly - A33115
Says something about possible wiring needing modification? Cause now that its changed im getting wildly inaccurate fuel...
Picked up a scanner to do more testing and gonna check pan asap. Buddy from gm is telling me same for checking for material and if caught early enough..may get away with just changing the torque converter
I'm a diesel tech and I believe my 6l80 is shuddering from 25-45 mph. Going to see if I can watch live data for converter with my diesel laptop this week. I'm concerned about replacing filter and fluid with my truck at 169k. I've also seen you mention it as a band aid. Besides the shudder the...
It dosent change with tire rotation. And it's perfect except for 25-45 mph. Found the rear has 2 inch blocks under springs so removing those this weekend to get it stock height. Maybe a driveshaft angle deal? Also I replaced my left front axle seal and found this morning it's leaking again...
I just found out the rear has 3 inch blocks under the coil springs. I'm guessing I lowered the front when changing back to a factory struts. Wondering if I can remove blocks and its possibly a drive shaft angle vibration?
I have a 2010 suburban lt 4wd with 170k. I got hosed on it from my ex wife and the thing was beat when I got it. Replaced all 4 front control arms. Both front cv axles. Both front hubs. I have a vibration that starts from 25 mph to about 45mph. It will stop as soon as I let off the pedal. Last...
