It's a website that searches wrecking yard inventory. You can also use it to search for a more common part to find what locak yard has the right vehicle and then call them or drop by to see what they have. Some yards will also be helpful and if you've spent the time to drop in they can do a...
The heated/cooled seats is standard on premier and other higher models. I've never noticed that cooled wasn't available with bench. You could always hit up car-part.com and swap the bench in after.
The rare part seems to be bench in those higher levels.
Well I'm not one to speak about the safety side since I drive an 90s one in the winter LOL You're not going to get that collosal pile of air bags in a GTM800 and you'd be pressed to get the life you want out of something newer without major repairs along the way. Since you're still driving an...
There are a lot of posts at various places that you don't need anything special to bleed the ABS pump on those, to drive it down a gravel road ot get ABS to activate to you need to do it with a scanner. What's the reason behind doing it? I've never needed anything special to bleed it on my older...
The rear axle including the center is usually shown as one of the approved jacking points. It's pretty rare when it's noted to not jack there. It's usually some Fords that specifically say not to.
Call local locksmiths until you find one willing to do it. It's not an insurance issue it's more liability. If they cut a key and it doesn't work if it's one they provide they'll cut another. If it's one the customer provides and it doesn't work the customer is pissed off, they might not have...
A Denali shold have it, most of the higher trim models either Tahoe or Yukon it's a standard feature.
Check the owners manual for how it works. It should be on by default and only disable when you manually control the high beams or turn on the fog lights.
Jack on the frame near the wheels but far enough away it's not in the way of removing them. Jack stand under the axle, or again on the frame, under a control arm etc.. to support it. Use some common sense, if something looks like it won't support the weight don't jack or place a stand there.
If the Excursion is still in good shape and you like it you'd be further ahead to keep it on the road. It doesn't matter if you choose GM or Ford, they both have their issues for the newer models. If you're moving to GM stick to the GMT800. Id still be in one if you could get clean ones anywhere...
Our 2017 Tahoe has been great.
Check the forum for the various 2015-20 threads and you'll get an idea of what to watch for or issues. At this point a lot might have already been dealt with.
It's neat they cam be added.
The power running boards definitely have a cool factor. But in some climates like ours with winter they also cause issues with the hinges seizing up and the various bolts that hold the boards on and together rusting up.
But they still have that cool factor and look...
Sometimes fleet mechanics aren't the best.
For batteries and tires that's not too unheard of. They can go through batteries fast depending on how they're using the equipment and they ususlly want as little down time as possible so if that means replacing something that's easy rather then fixing...
The wires coming down from under the steering column look like police add on ones.
You should find a 2017-20 Tahoe or Yukon in junk yard to look through. That'll give you a good idea of what's needed and what's not.
That sucks. I'm having the same problem with my 17 and was going to replace it shortly.
Don't bother with used unless you know it's a recent GM replacement. It's such a common problem there's no guarantee a used one won't have issues too or that it'll last any length of time.
I've always done transmissions on stands with a normal jack and a friend to help keep it balanced on the jack. Truck or car only jacked up as high as it needs to be which sometimes means jacking it up higher to pull the trans out from underneath... probably not a problem being a truck.
Keep...
Battery and charging issues shouldn't be causing those failures.
I haven't had many new batteries last more then a couple years. Was it only the one that was bad after 2 years? Maybe it was a dud. Charging wise rf you aren't having problems with your battery regularely going dead don't worry...
Makes sense. Your meter is reading the voltage like it should. Your title made it sound like you disconnected negative cable and everything still has power.
You can use jumper cables from the negative of the battery to the engine, from the negative battery to the body, from the engine to the...
If it's happening over night disconnect the battery till you start it again. If it's low you know it's the battery.
The shop should be able to determine on their own if it's battery or some sort of other drain.
You named the models for carpet.
For trim any GMC or Chevy truck tjst generation will be the same except for the door pillar back, then you're into those vehicles you listed again.
I've gotten good carpet out of junk yard vehicles before but can take a while.
We bought our 2017 with around 100k on it from a Chevy dealer, no complaints. We did pay extra for a warranty for it just in case it was traded in because they knew it was starting to have major problems but so far it hasn't been needed.
Both transmissions can have issues. Figure out what year...
