New To Me 2018 RST PP 38k Miles

I think some of them got the 8 speeds( with the 6.2l), since it was a transition year. Everything after 18 would have it without a doubt.

New To Me 2018 RST PP 38k Miles

That's a good point, most of the RST did get them. Shift it down into manual and make sure it goers up to 10 gears (sitting in place, lol)

New To Me 2018 RST PP 38k Miles

Very nice!!! I'd start with a catchcan, flip the pill (or swap in a different thermostat) on the 6L80E, and upgrade the front brakes with 2019+ 4 piston front brakes. That last one isn't needed, but you'll be thankful you did. Clean truck and welcome to the forum!

    Chevrolet Suburban 3500 Questions

Glad you got the transmission sorted out. I can say without a doubt that a tune is fantastic for these things. I've spent the last few seeks reading up on what all the tables do, when they do it, how they do it, etc. I think I finally have mine where I want it. Do you know what all was done...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Has anyone had a high pitched whistling sound, but only when moving? It seems to come and go so I have trouble diagnosing it. The tone doesn't change based on speed, RPM, wheel speed, etc. As soon as I start rolling the high pitched noise starts. I figured I'd ask here before I start...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I believe I finished up the 6L80E tune yesterday. After watching Silversurfer's videos for hours, I finally have a pretty good understanding of what controls what. Torque management is iffy, but I'm getting there. He says we should be able to have a cup of coffee on the dash and not spill a...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Oh I had everything cleared out, airbox and all: The H8 fit in the bracket, but that was about it: No worries though, the H7 fit fine and I was able to relocate the megafuse to a better spot, and top off the coolant:

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Mine was as well, but I was going off of this: https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/installed-a-h8-battery-in-my-2018-yukon-denali.145941/ There must be some small variation in sizes or something.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I can say the H8 does not fit. It's the coolant reservoir being so flose. There is nothing I could do short of drilled elognated holes in the tank, and I'd rather not do that. I trimmed the plate and that fits fine, but it's just too long.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The one I ended up with has a 9/25 sticker on it. I'm going to trim the tray, paint it, then install it all tomorrow.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Well, after a failed tune flash (that nearly bricked my PCM), sounding slow to start (when it was colder on Monday), and the random U0100 CEL I got this morning, I think it's time for a new battery. Looks like I'll be going the Walmart route since they have the best warranty, cheapest, and...

Silverado 4 Piston Caliper upgrade done

Nope, they didn't care at all. I got the full core charge. As for rotors, I found some on ebay from a 2019+ truck (2021+ SUV) that were on a truck that got damaged on the trailer, so had 0 miles on them. Here's some pics from my build thread on it so you can see how close they are...

Silverado 4 Piston Caliper upgrade done

Yep, that's all I did. I didn't even have to grind the calipers, just use the washers. I also went with stainless brake lines at the same time. The difference is night and day. Bang V. Buck, this is better than the 6 piston in my book. I'm less than $400 into my enstire swap. Rotors...

K2 Escalade Platinum Interior Swap to K2 Suburban

You have access to a service manual? I can look when I get off work and see if that schematic tells me what those brown wires do.

***SOLD**** DiabloSport Predator 2 7271 Programmer

Hey guys, I bought myself a HP Tuner MPVI4 so I don't need this anymore. I returned my Yukon back to stock, so it's ready to program yours! Their site says it'll support 2017-present GM truck/SUV that are gas powered. https://www.holley.com/products/discontinued_product/parts/7271 I'm...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Shipped the MPVI3 for HP Tuners back to my friend. I'm done tuning it now, I guess. Let me just say tuning Gen five is a PITA everything is based off of torque models. The simple thing of changing the to L86 TB and Intake complicated everything. It wasn't until the latest beta of HPT that...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Now that Marching Band season is almost over, I got back to tuning the Yukon...and noticed the clear coat has started peeling on my POS headlights. Big surprise there. Time to retro fit the stockers! More importantly, I have questions on HP Tuners about timing. Is there anyone on here that...

More tuning! These L83s really like the added timing and leaning out the PE tables! I'm not done yet, but tuning the DD table is fantastic. Im using this tool to do it: https://forum.hptuners.com/showthread.php?107808-Driver-Demand-Editor-new-tool-for-tuning-DBW-throttle-mapping This thing...

    2019 Yukon Build

Well, the headlights decided to stop leaking, but I'll always be on the look out for a deal. Probably wait for Black Friday or something. Not much going on with the Yukon lately, just changed the oil, really. Still only putting about 1 ounce of fluid in the catchcan per 1,000 miles so I'm...

    2019 Yukon Build

I ended up getting off of GMPartsDirect, ended up being just as much as the ebay junkyard version. In other news, moisture in the headlight again. Time to hunt for Morimotos again.
