    No AC with codes

also I am assuming if I hook up my scan tool and read voltage of the ftp and ac pressure sensor that voltage should read as 5v? I believe I can recall reading the voltage off my scan tool for the FTP and it being like .14 or some stupid number.

    No AC with codes

cool thanks for that. something just clicked, since they are "bussed" together inside of the pam, the FTP and ac pressure switch, I've gotten codes for the FTP sensor numerous times, and when I do the ac always seems to act up before or after I get a MIL for the fuel and pressure sensor, don't...

    No AC with codes

2006 Chevy tahoe 5.3l z71 242k miles Had intermittent AC issues for a while. Ac does not work barely at all anymore, except for occasionally in the morning cold the compressor will kick on a few times. Replaced AC pressure sensor, replaced ac pressure switch on accumulator, replaced orifice...

    Low oil pressure

Oil pan was pretty clean when I dropped it. Had factory installed gasket still owned by two separate married old women

    Low oil pressure

what y’all think, 5.3 2006 Chevy tahoe Z71. Decent pressure on fresh oil, used oil junk pressure (20% life on dash.) Did the pickup o ring matched the color up. Didn’t change much. Replaced oil pressure sensor with OEM ac delco. Exact same pressure. (Previous owner replaced with some *****...

    Oil pressure low

But before the rear main seal repair I probably have to add oil once or twice a week. Just driving 30 minutes back and forth to work a day.

    Oil pressure low

Need to recalibrate that answer I just had my rear main done, she’s still full of oil. And the oil pressure after the rear main repair remains the same. (Still leaking from front main, timing cover, & pan gasket.) not nearly as bad though she don’t even stop on the ground. The rear main would...

    Oil pressure low

Usually goes up to like 60 ish.

    Oil pressure low

Appreciate yall for the help. Also another mention about my rear main it’s absolutely just puking at this point. And im honestly really pointing my finger towards that. When I park oil is just all over my bell housing, watching the drops of oil fall down every 2 seconds after parking.

    Oil pressure low

Yea I have the special socket for it at my shop. It works on the new OEM delco one I just bought, but won’t grab on the existing sender that’s in my motor right now for some reason… thinking the previous owner already tried this LOL. We’ll see what I got myself into. Worse comes to worse I’ll...

    Oil pressure low

I will take a look when it’s cold again. Haven’t lost any bit of coolant over 6-7k miles or so but I will look thanks man

    Oil pressure low

I’ve already replaced my o ring. Red to red. Mahle, red was in there replaced with a red o ring. My o ring really wasn’t in the worst shape, was just flattened. No cracks or major deformities. And oil pressure is maybe slightly better on average after changing that out 5k miles ago.

    Oil pressure low

Would this cause a drop in pressure after it warms up?

    Oil pressure low

I’ll check this for sure. I’m fixing to throw in my new oil pressure sender sensor. Along with intake manifold gasket, because for some odd reason my sensor is a different size from the factory sensor. 1” 1-16 or whatever it is

    Oil pressure low

My oil pan was very clean. Literally had to do virtually 0 cleaning when I dropped it. Was the original gasket btw. Hasn’t been dropped/ cleaned for 230k miles.

    Oil pressure low

Another reason I bring this up is by comparison. We have a second 2006 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 L, LT trim. it’s got 300k miles on it. 160k miles of straight neglect and abuse, as it is a work truck. Now my brothers vehicle. It makes fantastic oil pressure. Around 60 on the highway no problem. Idles at...

Is your pressure fine now? Post sensor replacement.

    Oil pressure low

Idk it’s like, maybe around 30 ish as of right now it’s acceptable since like I said I just did an oil change. Drove 300 miles around Galveston and Houston. HOT idle after 2 hours of driving with this fresh OC in idling just a hair above 20 PSI. Normally running idle to 35 it’ll shoot slightly...

    Oil pressure low

And so after a few days on this oil change right now completely warmed up 15 minutes of driving I idle at about 28-30 it looks like. Completely fresh clean oil.

    Oil pressure low

I work at an oil change place. It is a full service shop as well. I used a wix XP filter, and we used pennzoil motor oil. The high mileage comes in a box. Not faked with some cheap alt conventional. So it’s good quality oil. I always do my changes myself.

    Oil pressure low

I’m going to replace the pressure sensor and either remove or replace that screen entirely. Will see what that does. If that does not resolve my issue I forgot to mention I do have a pretty bad rear main leak. But according to my research it shouldn’t bleed as much pressure as I’m losing now...
