    Lifter position question

First thing, I want to thank you all for helping me. Unfortunately the job took a turn for the worst. I have a head bolt broke off in the block. My fault for trying to go cheap before the expensive delete. That's my life lol

Does anybody know what the ft pounds of torque would be instead of using a degree wheel on a 2010 gmc 6.2 ls gen 4

    Lifter position question

Yeah that is what I meant. I'm just gonna put them facing the block since this is a temporary fix to get it into my garage and then a delete job is in the near future lol

    Lifter position question

Hey RST! I am doing a lifter replacement on one side and when I removed them for cleaning and inspection I didn't look to see if the oiling holes were up or down in the housings. Tried Google but everything says front or back but mine only goes in up or down.

    Lifter position question

Does anybody know which way is best to position the non afm lifters oiling holes in a 2010 6.2? Up or down?

    Lifter question?????

OK I'm doing a afm lifter replacement and my problem is that I'm not sure which way to position the oil holes on the non afm lifters. The internet says front or back but my block only has a port on the bottom of the lifter seats. Is it better to have the oil holes towards the intake or the exhaust?

    Weird head gasket

Hey everybody, I haven't been on here for awhile and hope you all are doing great. I have a question about the head gaskets on my 2010 GMC Yukon Denali 6.2. My question is are the gaskets supposed to be like 3 sheets riveted together or did I get bamboozled by rockauto? It's my first time in...

    Mystery Noise

Just wanted to give an update. I pulled all the brake pads after a neighbor who is a recently retired mechanic asked if the pads were tight when I installed them. I feel just as ignorant for saying this as I do doing it, but yes they were. I just assumed it was one of GM's "great" engineers...

I changed the brake pads, and hardware only. Was waiting to do the rotors till after we move. We bought a house and it has been hectic to say the least

    Mystery Noise

Like a idiot I didn't check for bearing play while I had it up but I'm gonna do that tonight. Yes it does go away with both light and heavy brake pressure and it sounds like it's in the front passenger side from what I can tell by passing cars, buildings ext.

    Mystery Noise

Hey all! My 2010 Yukon Denali has a horribly loud, annoying, noise that sounds like brake squeal but I've changed the brakes and see nothing wrong. I've cleaned, inspected and can't find anything. It does it around 60mph cool and lower speed after driving awhile. It comes in and out and stops...

    Moonroof waterfall issue solved‍

OK, I figured out why my moonroof was leaking. It is closing all the way and the seal is good. The problem was the little seal that goes in-between the glass and metal that the replaceable seal snaps onto was old and dry rotted and falling out of the channel it lays in allowing the whole seal...

    Moonroof not closing completely

OK I got the new moonroof seal but it looks nothing like the old one. The old one has a lip inside that goes in-between the glass and metal and the new one just cups around the edge of the glass. Not sure if its a new design or just wrong part. Has anyone had this issue? The part # is GM#22815954

    Moonroof not closing completely

Thank you all for the great advice. I also wish there wasn't a moonroof in this yukon. I never had water pouring over my head in any of my other cars that didn't have one lol

    Moonroof not closing completely

I'm waiting on a new seal and will see for sure.

    Moonroof not closing completely

I believe it is traveling far enough based on measuring around the glass to body, but I'm thinking the seal might be the problem. It looks like it's rolled down in the front and back corners.
