Haha. No offer but i was suspicious which is why i came here for some expert advice. They originally told me it was a leak in the heater core and would be $1300 to fix. Upon further review they said that was a aymptom of a more significant leak somewhere else but didn’t pinpoint other than...- mauger84

many of you were right. So far it was just the water pump. Had it and some hoses replaced for $950 and it seems to be running well again. Thanks everyone for your help.- mauger84

Prior to me it was single owner, 80 yr old from michigan i believe. Traveled from there and back to new Smyrna beach until retiring at the beach. So it has both kinds of rust, beach and salt from snowy roads. My good mechanic looked it over and said the rust won’t cause any frame issues if it...- mauger84

update: still haven’t been to the mechanic yet as i’ve been outta town but after my wife drove it around town a bit, coolant leaked out and the overheat warning escalates to the reduce power warning. So i’m planning to bring it in tmrw or friday. I was hoping everything had settled in after...- mauger84

Hey everyone. New here. I have an 05 Z71 w/ 155k miles. Took it in due to overheating and the mechanic said there is a coolant leak in the engine. I’ve been able to drive it still by just making sure the coolant is toped off but i just changed the oil and now it has a much worse leak, visible...- mauger84
