2012 BellTech lowered LT 4WD return to OE

Do you want my PPV springs? 1" lower than stock, but not very low. As far as the softness of the ride, that's where you want to invest in some good shocks. Maybe Arnott?

    DJM quality?

The instructions are literally on the front page for that product. I just wish they had an L and R on them to prevent reactions like mine. You can see the same in my picture. Little shards of red bushing in the hole. A blow gun should have been shot in the hole, at least, if they are going to...

    DJM quality?

My bad. It says in the instructions which is which. They really should mark them.

What is going on here? And people tell me not to make my own end links.

Good idea. Go convince him to buy a Tahoe and register for the forum.

Personally? No. That's the second time I've been asked in the past few days. I assume it isn't in the PPV owner's manual.

I meant, like, they probably made extra sure to use the right spring specs. It's still just a coiled piece of metal, I get it.

Probably my biggest overall concern is maintaining stability at high speeds. Even in stock form, the PPV is a monster on the interstate. I figure the PPV springs are probably pretty well-engineered, and I don't want to sacrafice. Ugh.

So these "drop struts" that are sold by Belltech, McGaughy's, etc.... Am I understanding correctly that they lower the front end up to 3" without any other mods? It says to use factory coils only. Since my struts and shocks are at the end of their life anyway, that might be cheaper for ME in...

They sell grade 12 at Farm and Fleet, so, yeah. I got impatient and placed a couple of orders. One from DJM and the other from Rock Auto. DJM: 2" drop front springs 3" drop rear springs Rear hardware kit Rear shocks Rock Auto: Bilstein B6 front struts Moog UCAs Dorman "Rugged Duty" tie rod...

Let's sift through every square inch of a 2013 Tahoe PPV

Okay... On the subject of lowering... I am probably okay with dropping 2-3" from the current ride height. Given that the PPV is already 1" lower than normal, then I have to be careful about the parts that I use. In the rear, I'll be making the adjustment by replacing the coil springs with...

lowering the rear a bit? what's the best way

I can't remember how much of the PPV stiffness is in the shocks and how much is in the springs. Somebody else will answer shortly, I'm sure.

PPV coil springs drop the Tahoe about 1”. Mine are about to be for sale, since I’m going lower.

I just figured I would mention that K&N intakes, with metal tube, are on closeout on Rock Auto for $250 right now: AND… I’m lowering the Tahoe like maybe 2” or something. Woohoo!

Testing the water: FS/T 2013 Tahoe PPV

Nope. I’m ordering some new suspension parts right now, just basic stuff like tie rods and shocks. The sway bars will go on at the same time I do that stuff. ALSO… I’ve officially decided to lower the Tahoe a significant amount. This decision has been solidified by my decision to LIFT my Audi...

    Front seats for a PPV

I would bet that there is a way to rig up heating/cooling as a standalone without the BCM being involved. I'm not saying it's easy, but it's probably pretty routine stuff for people who know electronics. Definitely try to get any and all wiring pigtails from the donor truck.

    Remanufactured 5.3 source?

You should take a core engine to a reputable local engine builder and have it built to your liking. You want to know where to find the guy if it breaks.

Testing the water: FS/T 2013 Tahoe PPV

I was out ripping around town in the Tahoe earlier today and just kept thinking how much fun it is to drive. And I’m talking to myself like, “Man, imagine if I installed those sway bars I bought months ago”, and “Imagine if I got a high stall converter”, etc.

FS: Bilstein shocks for 2000 and earlier trucks

For sale is a full set of Bilstein shocks removed from a 1999 or 2000 Yukon. They are gently used and appear to be close to new. I came across them by chance and they were so nice that I had to pull them. This set would cost well over $300 new. Who wants to save a few bucks and buy these...
