Thule Cross Bar Height verses OEM

well, if anyone cares....I sat my old ones on, and hard to say for sure, since I only had one foot on it, it was the wrong fit kit, and I couldn't really measure with a tape measure, but the Thule look like they may sit ~1/2" lower, maybe a little more, but probably less than 1". The Thule look...

    My Tahoe has arrived!

ah good to know, i thought the sound in ours was pretty decent, better than most stock sound systems I have had. Wondered if something had changed.

Thule Cross Bar Height verses OEM

Does anyone know what the difference is in height for the Thule verses the factory? I have the factory (needed for winter, when no fit kit was available). I do like the factory ones, but wish they say about 1-2" lower. I have an old set of Thule Aero bars (+ feet/locks) and I'm wondering if it...

    TPW 3/28

i usually just used the bot. It said, all during my TPW week, that it was "moving towards the production process". Then the following Monday, it said it had been built. Interestingly, the next day my Rep at GM handling the trade emailed me to say that his info showed a TPW of the previous week...

    Gas prices making anyone reconsider?

i fig'd, at 18k miles per year, my 5.3 at 17.5 avg vs. the diesel (which I am getting in a few weeks) ~24.5 avg, well, that's an 8 mpg difference (we do a lot of highway miles, I am expecting the diesel to do better as an average than that, based on the anecdotal evidence posted here and other...

    2022 Yukon XL Denali

If they have no record of it, that is a bit suspicious (to me)... if it has been submitted, the GM person should see that (I would think anyway), especially since it was 3 months ago (!!). Would make me wonder if the dealer is sitting on it, waiting for an allocation? A day or so after my dealer...

    2022 Yukon XL Denali

there is a "message us" button at the top of the page. Just hit it, and it will give you a computer chat bot. You can ask for a representative, and eventually a live person will come on. Provide them the order number, and they should be able to tell you. You can also just ask for order status to...

    Apple CarPlay Issues w/2022

Anyone have issues with Apple CarPlay and the 2022 models (android). I have not seen it mentioned here, but came across this yesterday on an Apple forum: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253548582 I am getting my replacement '22 Sub in a few weeks and just curious if this is going t be a...

2021 Suburban RST diesel w/aftermarket wheels/cross bars. Very happy with how this turned out after having bent push-rod issues with a z71 Tahoe.

I am wondering about the cross bars too. I actually really like the factory x-bars, but they are a bit high. Any idea if these are any lower? I have a pair of Thule that would probably fit the vehicle, but need the fit kit, (which has been unavailable, and is pretty $$ for just a fit kit).

    2022 Tahoe order process

i am sure there are others who know better, but i would tend to agree with your suspicions. I think a dealer can place an order, but the order will sit at "1100" (submitted but not accepted) until they have an allocation for your order, and your order is not constrained. I suppose it is...

How happy are you with your 2021/22 Tahoe/Yukon?

well, i got my 21 Sub in early Feb 21. In for service during the first year 60+ days, out for camera module for 28 days (multiple trips in), one side lifters replaced a few months later (2 weeks+), transmission head unit went bad in the fall, and they replaced other side of lifters then too due...

    Lifter Club

It must obviously depend on the dealer. My dealer has always just arranged for a rental from Enterprise (if they don't have a loaner, which they haven't since early 2021). The constraint is it does have to be a GM vehicle, and so getting an appropriately-sized vehicle has been a challenge some...

    Gas prices making anyone reconsider?

with the new EVs, the higher V batteries can charge from ~10-80% in 15-20 min using a fast charger. Obviously it will depend on where you are, but in the PNW there are a decent number of them. For a multi-day road trip, EVs are not really gonna cut it. But for a trip to a vacation home, 400mi+...

    Real Life MPG 5.3 / 6.2

5.3, Using the trip counter, one of which has not been reset from the start, I am at 17.9. This matches pretty much what I see on longer roads trips with some city driving, with the other trip counter. On the highway, I see 18-24 using the 50mile average computer, depending on wind and slope...

    Driving in L9 and DFM

I’m not certain, but I am assuming they are meaning using the low/ shift buttons on the selector panel, and keeping it in gear 9, instead of the “D” button (where it will goto 10, and everything is automatically shifted).

    2022 snow/ice build up

mud flaps no a decent job of keeping it off the area behind the wheel, but the wheel-wells fill very badly. I am getting a new vehicle soon, and I am gonna try and spray the felt when it is brand new, with a healthy dose of silicone spray see if that helps. I was just in snow and very cold, and...

Anyone put a roof rack on yet?

same, I have some Thules sitting around, I was waiting for fit kit, and while Thule does look sportier, and (probably) sit a bit lower, the OEM are so well made and install/uninstall sooo easily, I am not gonna switch.

    2022 Tahoe vs 2023 Sequoia

Ya the Key FOB start has nothing to do with Onstar. I was really annoyed when I found out I had been paying $39 for 5+ months for that. I did use the remote unlock once to let my wife in, but none of that is worth $40/mo. They SAID they would let me know when the free trial was up and tell me my...

    2022 Tahoe vs 2023 Sequoia

U dunno, I am not a fan of the interior, of the pics i have seen anyway. And one of the main reasons I got this new platform as the 3rd row. The IRS makes that row much bigger which is a necessity for my family, along with a really good rear storage space. Also, I do think the AUTO 4wd (Auto 2...

    2022 Z71 Suburban 6.2L bent lifters

IMO, they did not issue ay recall with the bad lifters primarily because they didn't have the parts to support a recall. On my first trip to the dealer for the lifters, it was a 3 week wait, and that was in a situation where I was pushed ahead of others in line since my vehicle had already...

Faulty Lifters took out my Escalade 2021 - 2 Trucks Down and Need advice

Can't tell you what will happen with you, but... Our vehicle has been in for service 63 days in the first year, for the camera/electronics system 1st, then bad lifters (one side replaced), then the transmission head unit. While it was in there for the transmission, they checked the engine and...

    Tahoe Constraints Update - 2/10/22

If something is on constraint, does that mean none are being built, or only a very limited number? thanks. And assume the Tahoe constraints apply the same to the Suburban
