    GM Corporate Escalation?

half full verses half empty... I understand where you are coming from, believe me. I had vehicle out of my hands, sitting at the dealer, for 60+ days in the first 11 months, ~28 in the first month of ownership. At many points, I just wanted MY vehicle in my hands. OTOH, I got a Tahoe rental...

    Diesel Cap

Just thought I'd share that the cap below, though not listed for Chevy/GMC, fit perfectly in my Suburban Duramax. Feels better knowing my wife will always see this when she goes to fill up. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FKPHVFB/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1BFARVD1MERH7&psc=1#customerReviews

Yeah, exactly. The info not to use and updates about the situation, at least.

2022 Wont start after remote start

I'm really surprised there hasn't been a fix for this yet, and also that they have not made this generally available knowledge.

    Yukon duramax production

I had a 5.3 and now the 3.0 Dura - I cant believe the torque difference - the acceleration is fantastic for this size of car and the kind of gas mileage it gets.

Removing the factory installed Roof Rack rails?

If you are talking about the (cross) bars that attach to the rails, you’d need a key to unlock, which will allow you to lift up on the flap. That will release the clamp and allow you to lift the bar off that side. Do this x4. If you are talking about the rails that run from front to back, I...

Production forgot to put my front splash guards on.

I ordered the front/rear molded splash guards, and the line just didn't put them on the front. Dealer is taking care of it, but I thought that was really odd...

    Nitrogen filled tires

thing is there is no way of telling what is in the tires, especially since no one told me and it's not in any paperwork. Doesn't really matter, I am not gonna search for nitrogen, although I suppose I'll top off with it if I see it, and perhaps the dealer will too when i take it in. Supposedly...

    Nitrogen filled tires

The strange thing for me is, this was a replacement/ rebuy, so my cost was pretty much fixed. I can only think someone at the dealer didn’t know?

    Nitrogen filled tires

Yeah it is a kind of up-charge, assuming a dealer one, but its not on the sales agreement - wondering if some salesperson just added it on thinking it would be charged for? there was also a stencil in the glove box from "RPM Plus" Didn't pay for that either.

    Nitrogen filled tires

Picked up my new Duramax Suburban, and was somewhat surprised to find a "Get Nitrogen Institute" package in the glove box (with an extra green colored stem cap in it. Is it standard to put nitrogen in now?

2022 Tahoe - missed out on luxury package

You’d have to add new mirrors w motors and cameras, a software control module, etc. doubt it’s possible but it’s probably be cheaper to trade it in for a new one

Really disappointed with GMC Adaptive Cruise and HUD’s posted speed limit feature

I had a palisade, I agree the ACC w/LKA + drive assist was really good. The LKA on the Suburban is nearly useless.

Anyone do a replacement (lemon) vehicle with GM?

thanks. Yeah the basic is, they are charging me for the difference in then vs. now MSRP, even though it is the same config. The usage charge is certainly not unreasonable, but I probably could work that down since my vehicle was in for service within the first week, but I probably not gonna...

thanks for the input everyone., I am not losing any sleep over anything - it is a good value, just airing some thoughts.

Anyone do a replacement (lemon) vehicle with GM?

I am in the final stages of getting a replacement vehicle, and wondered about a couple things. First, how exactly was your usage calculated? Obviously it will depend on miles, but what did they use as the start point? My problems started basically 500mi after purchase (60+ days in for service...

Radio today: Truck demand goes south - Any rumors?

I'm not in tech, so I don't honestly really know. But I think the person I know was talking about specific group in tech, namely quality programmers. But honestly IDK. As far as home prices, YMMV, but in my area, house are going for 250-500k over ask, routinely. And that I know as a fact (and...

Radio today: Truck demand goes south - Any rumors?

its not just cars. The "Zillow" price of my house has gone up ~50% in the last 12-18 months. And given the base, that's ALOT. We are in a weird economy. Bottom half is in a bit (or a lot) of trouble), but top half is rollin in the dough. IN the PNW, tech is making 20-somethings bucket-loads of...

    Real Life MPG 5.3 / 6.2

In a 5.3, I have yet to zero out one of my trip counters. For what it is worth, 21k miles at 18.0 average. That is 60%+ highway driving. I feel this is probably pretty accurate.

    Real Life MPG 5.3 / 6.2

i get upper 20s in my 5.3 at times (50mi average). But you are correct, it is (mostly) meaningless. When I am getting that, it is typically a 50mi stretch that is all "downhill" (descending from the Oregon high desert towards the Columbia River.

    Heated Seats

so my build is in transit (TPW 3/14). The dealer listing for it says: -Not Equipped with Heated Steering Wheel (-$25) -Not Equipped with Front and Rear Park Assist (-$50) -Not Equipped with Heated or Ventilated Front Seats (-$50) -Not Equipped with Steering Column Lock (-50) Presumably all of...
