actuator locations
Hope it's not the center one behind the AC/Heat contol = 6 hours labor to take out the entire dash + parts...quoted about a grand at the Dealer! Mine is doing the ol' hot on the left/cold on the right til you restart the engine...then all is well again for a week. BUT...I'm thinking the actual... -
Center Seat Flap keeper
Easy...I think I addressed this before. Slide a screwdriver under the front and/or back of it UNDER the lip and push while prying up. Once out look to see if the pivot rod is out on one side. You can just reposition it back...or buy new which is cheap. -
Looking into Yukon/Tahoe, what to expect?
I've never heard that term "GMT800" ?!?!? Mine is a 2005 Yukon XL/SLT with a rarer Stabilatrac tranny. Not 4L/4H/2H or AWD, but a computer controlled hybrid which I call the "squiggly line" tranny. You left out the most important thing: what kind of transmission does the 4x4 have? If it's the 4H/4L/2H isn't the 2H the same as not even having 4x4 'cept for a few extra pounds of metal? I have a 2005 XL with the funny tranny - Stabilatrac..sorta like AWD on a Denali, but not engaged 4x4 all...- SnowBuck

Center Seat Flap keeper
Broke in what way? Mine wouldn't "flip" because the lateral pin it pivots on slipped to one side. To get it out, slide a screwdriver under the OUTSIDE edge and push in the tab and pull up slightly, repeat on the other side. I positioned that pin correctly and tapped it back in place. Fixed! -
2nd Row Rear bucket Seat 2005 XL
Driver side 2nd row bucket does not slide forward...has no mechanism. Passenger side 2nd row bucket sliding is caused when you tilt the seat back forward using the release handle on the outside of the seat and press down a little on the seat back. See my pic for details on the mechanism. -

Mine is a 2005 XL/SLT w/AutoRide. Dealer charged $2,400 for new compressor and 2 new air shocks and lines. Possible New Vehicle 2005 Yukon XL Denali
Remember...Denali s are AWD all the time (low mpg)!!! Suburban trannys have 4-wheel high/low and 2-wheel high (best mpg). I have a "hybrid" kinda' tranny GMC XL SLT...the 3 buttons with the squiggly line... 2-to-4 wheel drive computer controlled (good 20-22 mpg on the highway).- SnowBuck

Completely new Autoride Setup...Still Leaks
Same problem on my 2005 XL SRT. Just got it back from the Dealer = both shocks leaking, compressor rusted and weak, lines deteriorating - all replaced = $2,400.- SnowBuck

AutoRide - How Much is Too Much?
2005 XL. Seems to come on every time I start the vehicle. Sometimes kicks in when standing at a long light. How much on & off is normal? True. There isn't one!!! I have a 2005 XL...LOVE it. I like the shape/style and the steel bumpers vs all these newer plastic cars. (I can say that as THIS IS the 2000-2006 thread) LOL Just an aside...but to me...the brand new ones (especially in black) look like hearses. At least, a black 2005... -

Went to 2 yards here in MD and they said the Suburbans and Tahoes in the 2000's were impossible to find. The old Suburban 1500 - easy. Grand Cherokees REAL easy to find.- SnowBuck

Figured it out!!! Man, is it a complicated mess of cables and cams(?). #1: leave the seat bottom DOWN (there's a cable on it to sense that it IS down). Twist the handle on the side that reclines the seat back B-U-T...tilt it FORWARD. It won't go much as the seat bottom is in the way. THAT pulls... -
