4 Piston Big Brake Upgrade from 2019-20

No problem. I’m almost certain there are some minor charges to the rotor. Like I said I have some oem 2019 brakes. 2 sets actually. 13” rotor. Then months later I see this upgrade, according to everything online they are 13.50 rotors. Just wanting to see if someone can confirm they are 13 or...

    Mexico assembled differences....for real???

that is one unique looking vehicle there. I am not a mopar fan, but with that short wheelbase, looks like it would spin a tire pretty easy. LOL

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I have a bagged gmc sonoma, I had a set of nitto tires on there, it hydroplaned so bad in the rain it was crazy. I switched to some chinese tires, similar to lionhart, i can run 80 and let off the wheel and it never pulls or acts funny. truck is on a low pro tire. I currently have chinese sailun...

"Hot" Side Unboxing - Twin Turbo Install

I gotcha, Thats awesome. I wasn't trying to dig too deep into your personal business, but a 2020, with twins... This is no childs truck thats for sure. I envy it buddy. Hopefully one day I can afford something similar. I've been in the small engine industry for 15 years, and it doesn't quite...

    High beams always on.

My truck occasionally does this. What I found was the terminal pins inside the fusebox for the headlights, and DRL relay are obviously a little worn. I removed my relays, slightly bent the tabs outward, reinstalled them (tight fit) and its been fine for 6 months. My grandmas rough/bumpy dirt...

    05 Tahoe LT

I would personally take a multimeter, and ohm out each front speaker. If per say one of the tweeters isn't functioning (the driver side) it will seem way less loud than the passenger side. IF you've verified the ohm of each front speaker, id suspect you have a problem with the BOSE amplifier if...

The endless "I was doing x and found y" with my truck

Id remove the rear lower control arms from the frame side, and the axle side and inspect the bushings. Mine were pretty trashed at 220k miles, however, I do have a lot of weight inside the rear of the cargo area, that wasn't always there.

4 Piston Big Brake Upgrade from 2019-20

Can anyone here confirm these rotors are 13.5" OD when measured across the back ? I have a set of rotors here that were removed from a 2019 Tahoe WITHOUT 4 piston calipers. They sure do look mighty close to the 21+ rotors. Wondering if its just a .5" difference overall or what it actually is...

Going backward to a NBS platform

Great topics, you just about hit every nail on the head for me. Some of the major differences to me is the quality of the interior/exterior overall. NBS is solid, heavier doors, thicker metal, especially on the rear quarter panels. The plastic bumpers on the NNBS give it that...

What do i need to do immediately?

Id for sure get under the front end, and grease all the zerk fittings, check the bushings, balljoints, tie rods, shocks. Change rear diff fluid, inspect all other common fluids. test /inspect coolant for its freeze point/rust/color/cleanliness, if it still has the spare tire underneath, lower it...

    4l60E slipping/being erratic.

Well, you can buy a complete ready to slide in corvette servo on ebay for about 70-75... I installed mine on my back in 5 minutes. Solved my issues and was probably the best upgrade ive done for the cost.

    4l60E slipping/being erratic.

Have you considered doing a corvette servo? My 2001 tahoe with 250k miles or so started to flare shift 1-2, and 2-3, sometimes didnt want to shift on the interstate. I installed a corvette servo over 20k miles ago, no more flare shifts, nice solid firm shifts into 1-2, and 3-4. Helped a ton...

    Front Suspension

In all honesty, I've seen trucks with low miles be trashed, worn out, every part. Then I've seen high mileage, well serviced trucks with little to no play in the suspension/steering. Id get your truck inspected by a shop you trust. Im certain that you will see some wear in the upper control arm...

    Mexico assembled differences....for real???

A quick wikipedia search shows in mexico the GMT800 platform "tahoe" was called a Sonora. Although after looking at pictures of these so called sonoras, I don't see any differences. Is your truck assembled in mexico ? IF so, do you see any differences in the truck you have versus the ones...

GM Stops Selling 3.0L Duramax Diesel Due To Supplier Shortage:

Seems like this is all a pre planned organization at times. OF course they want to keep people on their feet, and have them lined up out the door when they become available. reminds me of apple with their phones.

Which rear spring for comfortable 5in drop?

Check this thread for some cool info.. Cuttingt the 5305's DEAD COILS results in a 5" drop. and rides the same. As they are dead coils, just there for height/spacers. https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/cutting-the-5305-for-5-inch-plus-drop.32834/ This will give you a nice ride quality.
