    While waiting for Tonyrodz's build thread, I shortened the lower ball joint studs on the 2" drop spindles so I can fit my original 17" wheels. Not hard, I just should have done it when I first installed them. Tomorrow off to Costco for new dedicated winter tires....

    The first fuse I'd pull would be the one for the interior lights controlled by the door. If the draw is gone completely you know that's the problem circuit. If not, then you can check each fuse knowing the lights aren't the draw.

    How many miles you guys got on the odometer?

    167,000 on my 04, 5.3. Only engine issue was the intake manifold gasket leaking. Common issue and not a hard or expensive fix. It's the transmission on these that you have to worry about. I've had 2 on a well maintained vehicle. Granted I towed quite often but well within the stated vehicles specs.
