    What size it your TB? If its big enough and you're running the stock heads it won't make enough of a difference to deal with the hassles it will come with.

    I would stay away from the flowtechs their craftsmanship leaves alot to be desired. I've aways had good luck with Summit branded stuff, it's usually reboxed name brand stuff. Shorty and mid length headers give plenty of performance over the stock manifolds, don't listen to anyone that says...

    In all my years I've literally never seen a single instance where an SBC Chevy block needed the starter shimmed. If you have a shim on it I'm going to assume you are using the wrong bolts and more then likely hooked up the terminals wrong as well.

    Not really, hooking up a constant air supply and tracking down where it's coming out from would help narrow down what and where it's broke.

    You aren't going to run pushrod guides? You could have went with the shoulderless studs and saved yourself a bunch of work ... Don't forget to seal/loctite those, I had one back out on me, caught it before anything bad happened.
