    Yukon Denali vs. SLT

Eventually you will sell it. Unless you wait until the remaining life is essentially zero, the add-ons will always fully depreciate.

    Yukon Denali vs. SLT

Always get the Denali unless you cannot afford to do so. Whenever you sell a car, the only thing people search on is the model, so any extras you add have no effect on resale. On the list, yours will just look more expensive if you try to price in the "extras".

    OnStar rolls out "Stalker Service"

Why is OnStar so expensive? If it were $5/mo, I'd keep it.

    Police radar detector

I don't really speed much, but I like to know where the cops are hiding. I'd kick myself for getting a ticket because of a nonsensical change in speed. Basically, I use the V1 for awareness.

    Cracked Dash

I don't know if I am having issues; I don't see a crack today. That doesn't mean a crack isn't forming, but I cannot see one yet.

    Cracked Dash

I have a 2011. Is this issue fixed or is GM just hoping it occurs after 3/36 ends?

    08 Denali XL gremlins

Most of them are independant dealers, GM says they have no control over them. Which is fine, my local dealer just lost a $55,000 sale because of their service department. GM does have control over their training and the incentive programs. GM should be focused on its customers, especially...

    08 Denali XL gremlins

It makes you wonder, why didn't the dealer search the TSB's the first time? I think GM needs to improve the training of their dealers.

    Buying new Tahoe...5.3L vs 6.2L

I have the 6.2 in my Denali XL AWD, which I had in for service recently. They loaned me a Yukon SLE with the 5.3. There is no comparison. The 6.2 blows it away. The 5.3 feels like it is trying too hard and always downshifting. However, the 5.3 used much less fuel 17MPG vs. 12MPG in mine.

2011, <11k miles, dead in driveway

I got my truck back today, and it seems to be fine. I wish I knew how the DVD could get into logic mode. I stopped to talk to my salesman. He said that he had seen other Yukon's that were dead on the lot caused by the same thing. He said he was embarassed by this in front of several...

2011, <11k miles, dead in driveway

I will ask. I noticed, when jumping it, that there was a second tap from the positive terminal with a dedicated fuse. Maybe the cutoff only works on one path. Also, my Denali has two DVD screens in the rear, so the draw could be higher than I think. I'm sure I won't be satisfied until I...

2011, <11k miles, dead in driveway

Dealer couldn't tell me how it got into "logic mode" nor could he tell me why the battery was so drained after just 20 hours of sitting that the lights were dim and a second battery couldn't jump it.

2011, <11k miles, dead in driveway

Dealer claims the DVD went into "logic mode" which drew down the battery. I'm skeptical. I will pick it up next week.

2011, <11k miles, dead in driveway

Dealer claims it was a bad battery, but I'm not accepting that until they look into the rest of the electrical. The tow guy tried to jump it with a jumper box and it showed <12V when connected. The interior lights were dim too. I think the battery died early because of a "short" somewhere.

2011, <11k miles, dead in driveway

I bought a 2011 Yukon XL Denali demo in December with 7k miles. Today, it was dead in my driveway. Tried to jump it, and it wouldn't crank. With the other battery connected, the electronics did work, but otherwise it was dead. Roadside assistance picked it up on a flatbed and took it to the...

    fuel consumption way off

Depending on the state, I heard years ago that pumps are calibrated for 5 gallons and 10 gallons. There was a station that was making their pumps cheat everyone except if they bought 5 or 10 gallons. So, if you want to be sure and get your money's worth, pump only 5 or 10 gallons. They may...

    Yukon Denali Fail

I don't think all Denali's come with AWD. As for the truck, I heard that most people that work in the sand lower their tire pressure before going on the sand. I think it increases the contact patch to improve traction.
