I recently had my Denali in the shop and had an SLT as a loaner. I like the cupholder setup in the SLT much better. The Denali has fold over lids that waste a bunch of storage space whereas the SLT has a large opening with cupholder inserts (and others, I'd guess). Does anyone now how easy it...
I just picked it up from the dealer. I don't have GM involved yet, but if it happens again it will pass the "4 times test" from the TX lemon laws. I will need to send a certified letter to GM at that point.
As for the loaner, they gave me a Yukon SLT with all the bling.
New info: just got a message from the dealer. The battery is failing some tests. I specifically asked them to change the battery last time because I was certain it was getting worn out faster. The dealer wouldn't budge. What a waste of my time. I also do not believe that they are really...
Small update. We didn't have time last night to jack with the vehicle so I put it off until today. I went out there to see what was up with it now and it is even more dead. I can't get the remote opener to even unlock it and it won't even click when I turn the key. >$50k of metal, plastic...
Well, I was hopeful, but today it is dead again. My wife moved it out of the driveway in the morning around 9am and tried to start it again at 6pm but no go. It isn't just a little bit low either; it won't turn over even once and even the horn from the second lock press is weak. Something is...
I think you just have to redo the presets. It happens when the battery is removed too. Just select your station, and then hold it down for a bit. It should beep and the name will reappear.
What brand did you buy from CPS AV?

In my experience, they need a reason to look at something. Some dealers know of common problems and can help you articulate what you might be experiencing in other areas to help them justify checking them out.
I got another call just to update me--I do like the fact that this dealer calls people twice each day for a status update. They replaced the negative battery cable because the voltage drop was too high during cranking. They also tested the positive side, but it passed. I hope this is all that...
Update: service advisor just called and told me that the problem is with the negative battery cable. Here's the rub: he tells me that there is a short in the battery cable! My degree is in electrical engineering, so I just chuckled. He obviously has no idea what he is talking about. If the...
Might have to consider aftermarket. Anyone have luck with aftermarket and keeping the dual rear-seat monitors? I'd want dual-zone so I can listen to XM up front and kids can watch DVD in back.
I have a 2011, which I took in for service (see my other thread). For a loaner, I got a 2012 Denali, which has the newer radio software. It looks pretty nice; I'm wondering if my 2011 can be upgraded via software to the 2012 version.
One related question... when I jumped it, I first tried my standalone battery unit and I could only get a click. The same thing happened when I jumped from my Toyota Sequoia. It finally jumped when I connected the GND to the alternator GND (labled as such). I was nervous about jumping to that...
Ugh. We just got back from a 1 week long vacation. We moved our Denali into the driveway as we pulled out last Saturday. Now, Sunday afternoon, we try to move it out of the driveway to unload. It is dead again. I was able to jump it, but only with another vehicle--my standalone jumper...
