    I broke two utility knife blades. It was naaaaasty up there too. Jammed a rag up there with a screw driver a few times, but I am hoping to look into disinfecting the system with a product or with steam...we'll see.

    The right tool is a real powered hot knife. I used a combination of dremel, spaded drill bits, and utility knife w/ blow torch. far from perfect, but i still have a little material left that i might have to file down a bit more.

    Do a Google search. The engine hour counter can be reset unintentionally when the battery is low and someone tries to restart the truck. You're probably overthinking it.
