I'm at 44k on my Wildpeak AT3Ws and I have 13/32s of tread left based on my depth guage. They're 19/32s new according to Falken's website. They were $1169 new for 305/55/20.
So... drew a line on top of the shock rod coming through the top of the strut mount and confirmed it spinned when I tried to tighten it. Tried a pass through 18mm socket and some pliers on the top of the strut with no luck. Ended up just pulsing it with my cordless impact to get it to budge...
I think I found the squeak in my right front... Upper strut mount. What have you guys tightened the center strut rod nut to? I'm going to try and tighten it in the truck.
R1 Brake Kit install. Along with an assortment of Carlson, AC Delco and Dorman parts to refurb my stock brakes.
I had a seized guide pin up front on both sides a while back. Even after cleaning them and lubing them up it didn't work like it should and my inner pads wore more than the outers...
Dang, 100+ mile commutes. I'd need to be making some serious jack to drive that far. I can't stomach the idea of driving to Atlanta every day for work.
I did mine and I want to say it was the brown and black. What I did was tap the wires, test the blinker, tap different wires, test the blinker. Sorry I can't be more help.
Entire arm on the uppers. Bought amazon warehouse deal on both and got each for $45-50, so I guess it was $90-ish. The lowers were just the ball joint.
I'm beginning a steady refresh/upgrade of the suspension. Lots of stuff is worn out at 170k.
X2 on Moog but check amazon. I got both uppers for $90 for the pair. Moog lowers are also found on there for about $26 but I got one on a warehouse deal for $6.
Probably worth waiting for but my brakes are shot and I need to replace them. Back order was until at least April. Wasn't wild about the idea but I'll get a $50 credit and still get new rotors. In the end, I feel ok about it.
I was almost there before taking the spray and pray approach with the silicone spray. Sprayed the LCA bushings, exhaust hangers, and strut isolators and mounts. After all that its gone and I can finally enjoy the new ball joints and the much improved ride.
On another note, a little...
Well, got a can of Liquid Wrench silicone spray and SOAKED the front LCA bushings and rocked the truck before starting on my way home (about 20 miles). Still squeaking.
When I got home, I soaked the rubber exhaust hangers. We'll see in a little bit if that works.
Yep, you're right. I've already done this though. Put new ones on there about a month ago with lithium grease inside the bushing and on the end link bushings.
The squeak lives on.
So here's what I've done...
-tightened rear shock bolts
-tightened front cross member bolts
-torqued the sway bar bushing brackets and end links
-pried the dust shields away from the rotors
-torqued the 36mm CV Shaft nut
-sprayed some white lithium grease on the CV splines...
