    I just use the GMT900 specs. Same general equipment for all 1500 models.

    Penetrating lube to break it loose and then a tube of white lithium grease will keep it quiet.

    There's lots of good looking n-fab style tube steps, iron cross steps, jeep - style rock rails, etc. All for the trucks though, obviously where the market is. Why the crap can't they make one for a Yukon?

    I guess it's true that GM switched to Dexron VI for the later transfer cases. Mine for sure says auto trak II. Go with the manual. At least ATF is easier to find.and cheaper.

    Nah, way too generic. I know I'm being picky. I'm looking for something that's tucked up against the rocker as much as possible. Most steps for Tahoes/Yukons just take up too much space.

    Yeah, I'm not worried about removing them from a difficulty standpoint. It's from the marital strife stand point since my wife is 5'2" tops. I'd like to use the Iron Cross adjustable steps with just the main bar, not the hoops. We'll see.

    I've got the same wire but it's taped up. Not sure what its for but being that it was crusty when I got the truck, I just left it unhooked. I'm guessing it's aux power for something.

    Check your owners manual. It will tell you. Basically selectible (4Hi-4Lo) t-cases need Auto-Trak II. The AWD cases use Dexron VI.

    07 4x4... Used new felpro gasket for rear diff, covered with a thin, partially tacky layer of black RTV Valvoline 80w-90 in front Mobil 1 75w-90 with LS in rear Dexron IV for AWD Auto trak II for 4x4 (<---- mine) My transfer case took 2+ quarts
