Ok, parts came in. Starting with a pic of one of the cams. They are beefy. I'm wondering if they should have been made in aluminum so that they can have some crumple effect in a side impact. Might save your frame.
I'm debating whether or not I should get new bolt hardware. The OEM hardware...
Ok, I made 4WP a deal: They will redo the alignment and install the cams and they can keep the deposit and I don't pay the other half. I think that's fair.
I could see that. I guess something in my mind needs it to look even over it actually being even because I looked at hundreds of pictures (trucks and suvs) beforehand and almost all the ones I liked had 2" spacers. Though if I could do it again I would have gone 1.75" just to feel that much...
If yours hit the droop I should check mine. I had the idea that as long as I needed a new alignment I might want to upgrade to the Fabtech arms.
As far as adjust-ability of the plates I assume not as they don't have the same freedom of range as the stockers do, but should be as close enough in...
I just looked at your truck again. Looks like you swapped the front upper control arms but you didn't mention them. What kind and was it worth it? Also, didn't know you have a 6.2. Curious to know the weight difference vs. the 5.3.
And your flares look fine. Wheels stick out just enough in the...
Good advice, especially about the flares. I heard the door caps may slip off under certain conditions and you end up running over them.
In other (bad) news, I found out my alignment issues have nothing to do with the rear lift (duh!) and are entirely coincidental. I looked up how to align...
Huh. I just realized I'm not even entirely sure if the vibration is coming from the front or back yet. I don't do much highway driving and I only noticed it when the radio happened to be off. It's hard to localize with loud tires. I think I'll wait until after the alignment and see what 4wp...
Spoke too soon about the driveshaft spacer. Doesn't exist for late model GMs. I was going by 4WP website which incorrectly gives you part #s for my year/make/model.
01 Konvict, how much did you pay for the dual cardan joint? How long did it take? And finally, did you price that over just...
The wheels are definitely my favorite purchase. I almost went with $2400 Fuel Mavericks and was afraid these would look too shallow with the -6 offset. I dislike most of Procomp stuff because they're always in the "safety zone" when it comes to sizes, but they really hit it out of the park with...
Haha, I know. Gross right? I was gonna do it yesterday but the driveline vibrations were bugging me and wanted to look it up.
Anyway, the track width is perfect now, however the axle is now off center by 3/4" an inch too. I'm gonna call Spohn after memorial day and see if they can ship me an...
Fabtech 6" lift. Just got back from adding 2" coil spacers and 2" wheel spacers. It finally sits perfect all around. Just need an alignment and driveline spacer to kill the vibrations.
Well I removed the spare and then drove to the store and back and I think it helped a little. At some point I'll remove the spare lowering mechanism as well (and remove the resonator). I've been having lower back pain so that's about it for today. Cheers!
edit: Sorry for hijacking this thread...
I didn't think about the diff when it comes to the spare. Good call, down it will go.
The CV spacers look to be an inch thick. I don't know where that extra inch of track width is coming from.
I didn't see the 07-14 offroad forum until just now. I was wondering why it seemed so slow in here...
I'll be taking off the front valance for the Westin push bar so I'll have a chance to look at that then. Btw, I also haven't installed the SLP exhaust yet either, which requires cutting off the resonator, and am considering removing the spare tire as well because I have AAA (anyone else do...
Yeah, for 9.5 I was impressed with the lip. They have a -6 offset so they fit the 35s well. Pretty sure I could have gotten away with 10s at -19 offset just the same, but 4wheelparts was hesitant and these were on sale (cheaper), so...
There's definitely room for more lift, so when these tires...
Just had a Fabtech installed on my '13 with mag ride. It's a true 6" drop. I like it but I did need the optional 1 inch spacer in the rear to level it out.
