Magnaride, Should I delete yes or no?

8 years and 100k on a shock/strut is far from unacceptable.

    New Escalade IQ EV

Wow… The EV is like looking at a round wheel in motion then designing a square one to replace it with.

Magnaride, Should I delete yes or no?

OEM replacement front struts aren’t bad on $$ but the rears are. Arnott are comfortable but a little softer ride and typically the front ride height is a little lower with those. Some might feel that they lost the “sporty” feel that the stiffer dampening provides. Shock sims, shocks/struts, and...

2015 Yukon shuts off while driving

Redneck engineering here is to turn the vehicle on and start shaking harnesses and lightly tapping connectors until you find one that replicates your issue then break out the multimeter.

    Another Magnaride question

Open the back door and bounce up and down on the side step, look at the rear wheel gap. When magneride fail they lock up and you’ll be able to tell when doing this.

    Leveled Escalade

FWIW 5100’s don’t over extend as much as a strut spacer does. IMO they are the best option for leveling.

    Leveled Escalade

Most people hack off the droop stops however that puts all of the stress on your UCA ball joint to limit down travel.

Well, I screwed my self big time.

Doesn’t sound like you’ve got many specialized tools at your disposal. Keep it aired out as much as you can, and slap one of these in there closest to the moisture. Don’t worry about fixing anything until it’s dried out...

    Grade of oil

AFM/DFM system is the very reason I stick to DexOS cert. 0W20. Give the most failure prone system the chance to operate under the conditions that it was designed.

2015 Yukon Denali - first shift of the day between 30-40 mph is super rough

The 8 speed is sensitive to the proper fluid (needs the updated one) and it needs to be in good condition. Hopefully the dealer will resolve your problem with the new fluid.

    Strut rebuild help

Someone posted a chart before with all components broken down with part #’s but I can’t find it. You’ve got upper and lower spring isolators, bump stop, spring seat and top hat. Unless those are dry rotted/rusted and compromised 99% of people re-use them.

    Faded/Oxidized Paint Question.

Depending on how much residue is left you can use an eraser wheel to remove it, or an adhesive cleaner (3M is best). After that use a buffer and polish to go over the affected area to try to blend it in. It’s not going to be 100% but it won’t be as noticeable as it is now.

    Calibrate Magneride?

Could just be a coincidence that you notice it now after the mod because you’re paying attention to it. When these fail they lock up. Try jumping on the running board on both sides, if you get easy up and down movement then the shock is likely fine. Remove the air line and look for oil in the...

First thoughts on the 2023 Escalade.

Running premium keeps it from pinging, keeping the oil in top condition helps the lifters and the rest of the lubricated surfaces. Both are critical for the 6.2.
