What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

That picture is deceiving with the angle. It's 24'. I wanted to avoid starting small then getting the itch to go bigger. The family is looking forward to having some fun with it! Good points on the springs. I'm still trying to figure out the route to take on the suspension. It's original and...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

About three years ago I bought my Yukon with the intension of eventually towing a boat. I've spent the last few years refreshing the truck preparing... fluids, suspension, etc. this weekend I finally bit the bullet and pulled our "new" to us boat. The Yukon did great! It felt confident and...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Changed out the transmission fluid at 127,000 this weekend. The paperwork I have shows it was changed around 20,000. It shifts noticably smoother and crisper. Not sloppy at all.

GMT360 steering wheel to GMT800 steering wheel

I think those Envoy/Escalade steering wheels look great. I haven't found one yet but now that I know how to get them off quickly, I'll be jumping in those quick if I find one. Good luck with the project! Shoot a picture over when it's done. Ill probably have some questions for you when I'm...

GMT360 steering wheel to GMT800 steering wheel

Thank you for the feedback. I'm going to go for it and try to sand it down and color match the wood grain and interior colors. Something similar to this from @adventurenali92.

GMT360 steering wheel to GMT800 steering wheel

I have an 05 Yukon Denali and the top of the steering wheel is fizzling out pretty quick. I have wanted to get a wood rimmed steering wheel in from an Escalade but they are usually picked pretty quick at the junk yard. Today I found a nice one from a Buick Rainer, GMT360. Has anyone swapped a...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Finished! It takes forever to get this done with the cleaning, peeling, taping, painting, etc, but it is so satisfying to see the results. They've come a long way.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I just went and checked and the can doesn't say interior or exterior, just trim and accessories. I did a set about three years ago and besides some imperfections from technique, it's holding up really well so far. I can not remember which thread, but I got the tips from this forum. I think the...

I used these two for the trim. I've yet to find the color for the tan interior.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Started putting back together repainted Denali dash and console trim pieces. I messed up the piece that goes on top of the cup holder tray but after that, I should have a whole set repainted.

Great looking pair! The XL Denali's look great in that color. The blacks do too but I feel like the black loses a little character by hiding some of the lines. Nice purchase!

    Coolant leak

Fair enough. 5 is the first setting. I think it's a 5-80 but haven't had to use it in a while. Appreciate the feedback. The coolant is the last fluid change I have to do since I bought it so I'm actually looking forward to get in there and get this and new coolant done.

I'll get this ordered and probably get it fixed by Christmas by the way things are going!

    Coolant leak

Thanks, I'm pretty sure I have one that starts at 5ft lbs from some random project but can't remember what it was.

    Coolant leak

Thank you, I've been taking classes at the local community college which give free access to alldata. I've been downloading individual procedures for each project but this seems very similar and a lot easier to use. Much appreciated.

Got the rear A/C working! This was on the to do list but further down the line, but the wife pushed it to the front. Swapped out the HVAC box to fix a broken blend door, then two actuators. Nice and cold.

    Rear Blend Door Rod Broken??

I did get the new box in and all the parts changed over. I could not get the back clip to the left and the screw underneath the box back in, but everything is sealed up pretty good. I did t feel any leaks. Unfortunately, but not unexpected, the actuator is not good so ordered two new ones. A...

    Rear Blend Door Rod Broken??

I haven't had it in my Yukon but had that in a 2012 Impala three times. It would last for about two minutes each time the ignition was on then be fine until the next start up. Constant clicking. A new actuator fixed it. The rear AC actuators in the Yukon are 100x easier then changing in that...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Oh man, you nailed it! I could stay out there for hours and have to hold myself back, if I stumble upon a nice find. My wife thinks I'm crazy for it. One cool thing I saw was a group of younger kids, probably around 18/19, get super excited when they stumbled up a 90's Chevy truck having what...
