For filter & fluid change. Its been 4+ yrs and 43k miles since filter was replaced. I've done 2 dump and fills (5 qts ea time) since 2022.
Pan/magnet were almost clean and fluid looked fine.
Going back in w/Dexron6 and #24236933 filter & seal, and I'll send an atf sample off for analysis.
I know from spending a lot of time at BITOG forum that group IV is rare these days, not even a splash of group IV in box store "synthetics". :(
Yrs ago the law and industry started allowing group III GTL oils to be called "synthetic".
But Valvoline Premium Blue Restore is 80% group IV & V base...
3 summers in a row now since I started running Valvoline Premium Blue "Restore" 10w-30.
(not Valvoline Restore and Protect).
VPB Restore came about when Cummins asked Valvoline to come up with an oil that would cleanup the stuck piston ring problem they were having in one of their engines...

If your oil is loaded with fuel from running rich before it will run lean for a while until the fuel is out of the oil.
Or you can just change the oil.

and here's a pic showing the difference in valve covers when I did the TSB
Notice the location and shape of the pcv ports in each design.
so no one knows.
Back in the early 80s I had a 75ish Chevy Blazer 4x4 w/SBC & Automatic with full time awd with 2 speed TC with neutral and manual shifter thru/on the trans tunnel.
