New baby, Might have to sell the Tahoe already

Congrats on the baby, and I can't imagine getting rid of a 2026, that's financial suicide. A rear facing car seat is a problem on imho every vehicle when behind the driver (at least cars). So again I'd think removing the screen would be logical. What vehicle would be an alternative? Even...

2025 Blend door issue? - SOLVED

Having had the repair done, we honestly couldn't really find any faults with the job. For example, I thought what if the screens are all scratched or dinged? They were not. The only thing I could find is a tool mark to the lower left of the steering column. It's so small nobody will ever see...

2025 Blend door issue? - SOLVED

This is a known defect on 2025-26’s. We discovered it last October but didn’t do anything since no parts. We finally got it fixed 2 weeks ago. Dealer had our Tahoe 2 weeks as the entire dash comes out, coolant drained, AC evacuated. Upper evap case gets replaced. Here’s a link to the...

    Does Chevrolet still notify you

Well, myth number one I learned, "Oh, that's a steep discount for a custom order." What difference does it make, an order is an order, other than, you absolutely want this vehicle and they know it. We only got $4400 off a 2025 custom order. BUT. 3 other dealers simply said no, they cannot do...

    Does Chevrolet still notify you

We would get emails all along the way, that lagged the online chat. In retrospect, it was a very underwhelming experience. To me it may as well been a Corvette. To the dealer it was nothing more than anything else that was on the lot. We arrived to see it (it came in on a Friday, and we...

    2026 Tahoe RST performance exhaust

The intake looks different, just lift the hood to verify. From what I've seen online, there is a red cone air filter in front of the brake reservoir. If those were on the sticker and they are not on the vehicle, that's theft at the dealership and unlikely. That would be similar to the Brembo...

    Looking to purchase a GMEPP

If I may chime in, I've bought 2 extended warranties on GM and BMW, and, admittedly, I lost on both, so yes, the "financial advice" of avoiding made sense. On the BMW, people said, twin turbo, $6800 to fix it dude, a $2800 extended warranty is a no-brainer. I agreed, and here it is, car is 19...

    2025 Tahoe RST crooked tailpipes

This is really strange, I've been under our HC so I'm a bit familiar with what the exhaust looks like (at least its routing), but would find it hard to explain how the tips are off like that. Would like to know how it's solved....

Do I wait for the 2027 MY to come out? Buy new now?

I'd wait, because our 2025 HC was $4,900 more for 2026. You could have taken delivery late August for a 2025, and early October for a 2026, and seen the difference. Frankly, I would never simply just accept it. So, I would not want a 2026. But, maybe a person who doesn't know what a 2025...

Brand new, no start, no electrical

btw what is the reason to want to leave the fob in the vehicle....tongue in cheek, this reminds me of growing up, my mom would keep a spare key to the house next to the entry door in the garage, with an overturned plastic mug. As I got to my teen years I would tell her, nobody would ever think...

Brand new, no start, no electrical

If there's anything positive to be gleaned here, great to here your 2026 isn't dead for no reason. I would not have thought a fob left in the vehicle would cause it to be dead. Ours does beep at us when it's left. And agreed with the tenders or trickle chargers, my largest is 5A, that's not...

    Dealer Service defensive measures.....

The thing that seemed to happen during the pandemic, is in addition to labor rates going way up, parts are routinely over list at both new car dealers and private garages. Sorta like how many restaurants now charge extra if you use a CC. When it's widespread, we the consumer can't do much...

    Dealer Service defensive measures.....

We bought a brand new 2011 Enclave in June 2011, and so from 2011 to about 2018, we frequented GMC dealerships. In a 50 mile radius, they were all TERRIBLE. I know this is not the place to discuss an Enclave, but GMC is very much related to Tahoe and this is a Yukon forum as well. Right off...

Customer Order or Gamble December Discounts?

Some thoughts as we custom ordered, with the process taking 9 weeks. First of all, the entire process is underwhelming, it's not like ordering a European car where you're treated like a rock star. So let's just get that out in the open, to me, a Tahoe is like a Corvette. To GM, it isn't. OK...

    2026 Tahoe/Yukon Differences

This seems to be the 2026 thread. The price increases are a bit eye catching. For example, a Tahoe HC deluxe has super cruise added/included with the HC deluxe package, so last year we would see some cars for 88k, and now they're like 93k (with the standard rims). Some Chevys sitting at 98k...

    2026 Yukon build date

I wais actually hoping the Tahoe custom order experience would be like the only other car I've ordered before, a BMW. Not to burst anyone's bubble, although I think everyone has an idea already, the Chevy experience is not that. Euro delivery has existed since I was born (that wasn't...

    2026 Yukon build date

lol funny if anyone doesn't realize that....I've always wanted to visit but never have. Also interesting is I hear your area would be Habs fans, which I only learned 10 years ago through a coworker.

    2026 Yukon build date

Based on our timeline, you should get your vehicle in another 4 weeks. Our order got a TPW in 5 weeks, and then it actually got built one week earlier than the TPW. Took one week to ship to PA.

    2026 Yukon build date

I asked our sales mgr how $2,595 is justified to transport from Arlington to Dallas, and it's the same $2,595 to Phila. (ours was $2195 and some were even lower in 2025). I think sales just makes up their answers without any regard to if it makes sense. I often wonder what would happen at...

    2026 Yukon build date

Curious to know, when they're spoken for, are those folks blind to the price increases, or, it was their timing and not a lot they could do. Just me, my new cars and used car (4), 3/4 were early MY builds, and one was 6/11 for 2011. I have always wanted to get a late year production, so this...

2025 GMC Yukon Elevation Paint defects?

I guess no point in starting a new thread. The same defects on our 2025. But what I wanted to ask, is, whether it's true that orange peel is worse now, due to water based paints and rush to cure? Pains me to say the orange peel reminds me of when a vehicle gets repaired at a body shop. Only...

Anybody else less than enthusiastic about the direction Chevy is taking with the Tahoes and suburbans?

I was just browsing, and a mint 1985 suburban actually sells for what it did in 1985 lol Of course, in 2025 dollars it did depreciate 75%. But some vehicles are essentially worthless as 1985's. I'm talking over $15k.

Anybody else less than enthusiastic about the direction Chevy is taking with the Tahoes and suburbans?

Agreed, I was just curious what the increase might be. They snuck in $900 3rd week of July, so units arriving mid August could be $900 more than another one coming in at the very same time.

Anybody else less than enthusiastic about the direction Chevy is taking with the Tahoes and suburbans?

If anything, the 2026 pricing is for me a bit shocking. I'm talking about the High Country. $1700 base, and all I can see is interior cams added. $400 destination, we all knew about that, kicked in late July (2nd increase in 2025). But the kicker is about $2855 more for the High Country...

Anybody else less than enthusiastic about the direction Chevy is taking with the Tahoes and suburbans?

We came from a Buick Enclave which has a fairly large interior (115 cu ft, pretty sure that's more than a Grand Wagoneer). I rode in the back for the first time today, and it's significantly larger than the Enclave, fore and aft. With the front seat in a normal driving position, and the rear...
