03 Tahoe Center Link is Crooked, but Nothing is Loose...

You both are correct. The center link is correctly oriented, and the truck turns lock-to-lock just fine. And there are two different spline counts depending... The 1500s (and this truck) are all four-spline.

03 Tahoe Center Link is Crooked, but Nothing is Loose...

I picked one up and plan to replace it today and see how it looks. Also recorded a video on the GoPro this morning, shows absolutely zero movement of anything in the steering other than what is supposed to move. Everything is tight, nothing has any slop... Will see how the pitman arm looks...

03 Tahoe Center Link is Crooked, but Nothing is Loose...

Did a complete overhaul of the front end of my 03 'hoe about a year ago and it just... hasn't felt right ever since. Made another post previously describing the issue but came up dry on answers. But I checked out all the PNs and have since verified the numbers match with the OEM PNs (or that...

Is It Worth Replacing High-Mileage Injectors?

O2 cycles roughly between 0.95 and 1.05 while driving. What do you mean by surging? As a reminder this is the same ECU/injectors that were originally on the truck before the 6.0L was swapped in.

Is It Worth Replacing High-Mileage Injectors?

A couple notes/responses to some points here. Appreciate the dialog happening here for sure!! Completely my logic in wanting to get them cleaned/replaced. Not sure how out of balance they are but I can't imagine I wouldn't see at least a marginal difference (1-2mpg) before/after. Truck came...

Thinking of picking up a travel trailer... How can I bolster the tow capacity to afford myself a bigger trailer?

In the early phases of thinking about a travel trailer, but am finding myself wanting something larger than I have the tow capacity for on my rig. Some details of my setup: - 2003 Tahoe Z71, stock drivetrain. Has the wt. dist. hitch and trailer package from the factory. (VIN...

Is It Worth Replacing High-Mileage Injectors?

Wondering what the consensus is here on the forum about fuel injectors needing replacing, cleaning, or rebuilding after putting lots of miles on them. I have 375k miles on my truck and I'm not sure whether the injectors are original or have been replaced at some point. I did a 6.0L swap into...

    2001 Chevy Tahoe Wiring Harness

Your buddy's truck sounds sick. Haha. And it sounds like we are both having the same problem. I'm on the hunt for a new harness because my daily (03 Tahoe, swapped the 5.3L for a baby-cam 6.0L last year) is having some weird sensor issues... Looked into it and found the engine harness wearing on...

    2001 Chevy Tahoe Wiring Harness

Question for anyone that knows... Would something like this work? TSP has a memorial Day sale on now, figured I'd take a deal if I could get it. Haha...

Excessive Body Roll & Self-steer Over Bumps After Front End Overhaul

Good to note on the caster being slightly asymmetrical. Makes sense on road crown, etc. To address all the re-assembly related questions: - I did a loose assembly of each side, put the torsion keys back in it, and then on each side used a jack to achieve the approximate hub position as it would...

Excessive Body Roll & Self-steer Over Bumps After Front End Overhaul

Hahaha. You caught me. Swapped a 6.0L crate motor (with a baby cam) last year. Thing PULLS on the highway and has a pretty rowdy idle w/the AC compressor off. Pretty fun for a daily. Bone stock suspension, pretty much factory ride height... not more than an inch higher than factory as the truck...

2001 Yukon XL SLT 2WD Porpoising Like a Boat

Any update on this? Did you try adjusting the caster? I am having this EXACT issue and can't figure it out. See my thread. https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/excessive-body-roll-self-steer-over-bumps-after-front-end-overhaul.149933/

Excessive Body Roll & Self-steer Over Bumps After Front End Overhaul

Hi folks. Just did a whole front end job 3 months back on my 2003 Z71 Tahoe w/375k miles. Did all new upper/lower control arms, knuckles, sway bar links, inner/outer tie rods, pitman and idler arms, and brake lines. All ball joints and bushings came pre-installed in their respective places and I...

Wanted EMS-style tail light blink pattern on my tail lights...

Bought and installed this tail light flasher in a matter of minutes and it works like a charm. Totally programmable to whatever blink pattern you could ever want. LED is somewhat essential though because their response time is MUCH faster and makes the flashes much more obvious. Link...
