Thanks for all the info.....I can't find any o rings in the package. I found that they are super expensive.....$23 each and it takes 2. Must be made of unobtanius or something. O Reilly's will have some in in the AM for me. I have a bushel basket full of orings, but am afraid to use other than...
Mine not leaking.....It has slack in a tie-rod causing the steering to wander. Guess I will have to wait until I pull the old rack to see what's what with the hyd lines and gaskets.....thanks for the reply.
I am installing a new steering rack. My question is about the gaskets for the plumbing attaching to the rack....the 2 pipes.....no gaskets were sent with the rack for these pipes.....but rubber plugs were in the rack.....are these the gaskets also ? Do I just cut the ends off and use these for...
I fixed mine to not beep....been awhile, but think I cut and spliced the wires together....remember whatever I did, that it was easy. I always wear my seatbelt on the road, but in and out of the truck in the fields, it was driving me nuts.....had to do something. Good Luck with it.
I ruined the upper control arm and had to replace. It's the one I used the pickle fork on. I replaced the lower ball joint because it was sloppy. That was fun. Body still hurting from all that crap....now I gotta go get alignment after I find a place.
I got it done with the bottom spacer bar. But I had to replace a control arm becuz I messed up a ball joint with the pickle fork that I was warned about....so lots of extra work and $$$ for the control arm. I need to listen better...haha
I did mine like that. Got a cold air kit off ebay and cut it up to fit the stock ac....took a little creativity, but got it working and it does a good job. You can do it and save a bunch of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. good luck
