You're right. It is. I was calling it by the wrong name. Explains why I could find a good video.

Got another question for you guys. The input shaft seal on the transfer case is leaking so I'm gonna change it before I put it back in and drain and replace the fluid. Having trouble finding a video that shows the type of case that's in my truck. I just wanted to verify the drain and fill holes...

Quick question. Getting ready to put the oil pan back on tomorrow. I should be plugging the pressure relief valve in the pan correct?

    2011 Chevy Tahoe “Tug issues”

If you haven't already make sure your trans fluid level is good. No check engine lights on the dash? Do you have access to a good code scanner?

    Used prices

Here's another example of how inflated used prices are. 10yr old Tahoe for $23k. And it has a check engine light on! Lol. It is pretty clean with low miles but still. Supposedly it has a sale pending. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/b6f7269c-0490-4fed-b294-5eae5cfcaa72/

It's funny that once supply is tight then GM states it's reusable. I think I feel better reusing the oem one than an aftermarket so probably going to go that route. Thanks for the info. I linked the Scoggin video below if anyone wants to watch it.

Just saw a video from Scoggin-Dickey that GM states you can reuse it once. Tourqe to 48' lbs then turn 50 degrees. I think I might go that route rather than use an aftermarket one. I did find a place that has one made by Melling which is usually considered a good brand but who knows anymore.

Well scratch that. Advanced canceled my order because they don't have the part. So either now I go with a Dorman or reuse the original.

Misfire at Idle and Slight Acceleration No DTC's

Just did the shop-vac trick on the Yukon. Cyl 7 & 5 got bubbles like a mofo at the exh manifold. I really hope when I fix that it clears my misfire.

Misfire at Idle and Slight Acceleration No DTC's

My Yukon has a only at idle misfire on 5 and I hear either lose lifters, exhaust leak or cat rattle on that side. I've been so tied up with working on my Suburban I haven't had a chance to figure it out. It's on my list of things to do. I saw a cool trick on a you tube video where some dude...

Oil pan and oil pump is off. There was a lot of coolant in the oil so the motor is all sludged up. Finally took out the lifter trays and the AFM lifters actually look pretty good. No real wear marks at all. For some reason the regular lifters don't want to come out so gotta deal with that...

Here's a video about the shaved bolt thing. I tried it today and it worked great. The rods that come with the Chrysler puller that I rented from Autozone aren't long enough to get the balancer all the way off. I'm going to look into the installers tonight. Working on the oil pump now and...

    2010 Burb Misfire

Hey all. Quick harmonic balancer removal question. I'm removing the balancer tomorrow and plan on using the shaved down stock bolt with the Chrysler removal tool method. So if I shave down the stock bolt then I won't be able to use it to put the balancer back on. I'm replacing the stock bolt...

Misfire at Idle and Slight Acceleration No DTC's

The fact that the misfire jumps to different cylinders is interesting. You able to view misfire history with a scanner to see if any cylinder was missing more than others? Or maybe isolate a bank.

    Harmonic balancer pulley

Honestly as far a remodeling goes it would be one of the cheaper projects you could do. If you have the basic stick frame house it would just be removing the sheetrock and floor beams with maybe some bracing on the roof rafters. If you want to get crazy don't damage the floor beams and save them...

    Harmonic balancer pulley

You can definitely do it. Depending on the build of your house you might be able to completely remove the attics floor beams and go with a cathedral ceiling right up to the roof. Best bet to be 100% sure would be to hire an architect to check it out.

Ok. Thanks. I wasn't sure so figured I'd ask. I might need to reuse him when I start digging into my Yukon's misfire.

I just picked my heads up from the machine shop today. I think I might have gotten ripped off. He disassembled both heads, replaced valve seals, cleaned up the valves and re installed the stock springs. He also resurfaced the bottoms and cleaned them all up. And he also removed two broken...

I dont mind some power loss if it's going to run well. I rarely tow with it and definitely don't race with it. I usually drive like an 80 yr old
