    Reddit has many cases of the the PASSED test that then failed shortly thereafter - yukon, trucks, etc. I think it's a publicity stunt band aid to try and buy time/limit the financial loss.

    Buy a can of brake clean as well. When you get the diff cover off, give everything in there with a good wash and let all the fines and particulate clean out. Let it air dry for a bit and then reassemble.

    My yukon got blasted front to back with fluid film when it was new to me from down south in 2019. Nothing was off limits besides the brakes. I've never had a dry rotted bladder since using fluid film.......although they tend to grow a fur over time from dust accumulation.

    I think it would work. I ordered one awhile back for other reasons - to read the OBD2 with RANGE device plugged in. Never got around to trying to figure out how it worked. My service truck used to have one for company policy and it always worked as normal at the dealership for service.

    I hear some lifters that lost prime. How often do you change the oil? What type of oil? If it were mine, I'd dump in 1/2 quart of Dexron 3 in the oil and take it for a nice long drive. Drop the oil immediately when back home and refill with a good quality 5w-30.
