they can absolutely look for updates to the software. they just don't want to. you can yourself if you want using a 150$ dongle and 50$ access to gm's acdelco website for updates. sadly I don't think it will help you thou.
at this point I have no idea unless you find a mechanic that likes...
if you've seen inside a normal gear pump, this is a totally different vain style. that spring in the pic is what sets the oil pressure by changes the displament of the pump.
the next Gen up trucks with the LT engine arw veritable displacement pumps but are contorted by the ecm to target...
I once rented a smaller Buick suv and it was honestly very comfy.
still gm and probably going to have the softest seats in the line up.
definitely F cancer, I don't know if it just comes with getting old but man I seem surounrrd by it the last few years.
ouch, I see they are no longer listed anywhere in stock. I'm not sure what you should do.
maybe call millings tech line, I don't believe a standard LS oil pump can provide the oil pressure the hybrid is looking for. if it's to low it's going to throw fault codes all the time. the min spec for...
try rock auto. they have hybrid pumps last I looked. if you're looking for a hybrid pump. if it's a non hybrid, there's a lot of aftermarket pumps of different volume and pressure. the hybrid pump is totally different style variable displacement pump. they run a lot more pressure at idle than a...
yeah, I would think that's logical to look at the tcm. my guess would be wiring going to it. but hard to say.
if you can find a shop with a good scanner or a old school tech 2. if there's no tcm code saved there's live data from the tcm that can be viewed while driving. if you can make it...
I'm sorry to hear that. sadly this is probably the end of your truck. a dealer will most likely just clean your pockets and not fix anything. fingers crossed you have better luck than everyone else.
the P0AC4 is not the main code, it's the most basic code there is. it's basically just the...
the gmt900 fans are brushed standard on off. they do use the relays to give it hi/lo setting. but they aren't pwm. the next Gen up started pwm and brushless fans.
if your really wanted to get crazy and hptuners allows you to select pwm output, you can use the control box from a c6 corvette to...
I got my tech 2 for 200$ off that China diagnostic website a few years back linked to here. but I think they stopped selling them.
I'd just get one off Amazon or ebay at this point. while a newer mainsteam scanner is definitely worth the money for most. I do worry they won't have all the pids...
try replacing both batteries cables, ground and pos. it's a common issue for these trucks. for some reason they look perfect from the outside, so people are reluctant to replace the them. but these trucks hate voltage issues.
usually unhooking a battery doesn't erase codes like it did in the obd1 days. you might need a scanner to read codes from all the modules. the cheaper ones only read the ecm. these hybrids have almost 30 modules. all with codes
ahh. I didn't realize segment swapping was only for older pcm's. sounds like you guys are on the right track with using tow button then.
can you do the math you want your max mph 4th gear shift point to be in 4lo. final gear ratio and tire size. go to the last column, 3-4 at 50% and plug that...
absolutely do not turn them back on. they have physical lock pins that keep the lifters from going into dod mode. oil releases the pins and if they get stuck. you now have a collapsed lifter to pull the head over
I'll have to look up your codes, but the biggest thing is find a scanner that can read the snap shot of live data that was saved with the code sets. that's is pretty important with then trucks.
also check here for the conditions needed to set the codes.
I've followed so many techs that over tighten filters it's nuts and even the random not tight enough and work loose. hand tight is not a spec.
no matter what type of spin on filter, there should be tightening instructions on the side, based on the thread pitch. it will be something like o ring...
i really hope the correct part number works for you.
I have personally run, mostly temporary just to get stuff back in service, but pumps for non pwm systems in pwm systems and they worked just fine. I don't believe the aftermarket fuel pumps even list what type of system youre going to use...
4 does seem like a lot and these engines stock don't really need a ton of fuel volume compared to say one built with a big cam or boost.
if you pull up in your scanner there will be a target fuel pressure and a actual fuel pressure. see if those march. the fuel module will also show the trims...
