Yeah I considered it but with the NVG149 transfer case it’s a real challenge making it work. There was a guy on PerformanceTrucks.net who designed and had a machine shop build custom output shafts so they would work together but they’re impossible to find now at any price. If one pops up they’re...
You must mean Quick Stop, I don’t see any Quiet Stop from Wagner. I priced those with their rotors; it came out about the same as Power Stop for the same, coated type. Only thing is they show 2 different sets of pads- solid abutment clip or abutment clip with square hole. Not sure what I’d need...
Whats the consensus on a decent set of rotors and pads for these? I’m not putting Wilwoods on this truck unfortunately; I’m spoiled with them on both my others though. Actually looking to go semi-budget. I have heard Power Stop is fairly decent. Looking at Rock Auto, there’s a ton of choices...
Installed the Pioneer 3050NEX and Arnott rear shocks. Everything is working correctly after some re-do on a couple things. Crutchfield helped me with getting the amp to turn on and I had a corroded connector where the right rear spoofing resistor plugged in. The old compressor still works! Still...
It
It’s the Pioneer DMH-W3050NEX. I bought it on Amazon, installed it in The Beast just before I blew the trans. So I pulled it and installed it in the Tahoe for now.

Also installed the Arnott rear shocks. The compressor actually still works fine which is amazing considering the old shocks. I haven’t seen any this bad but this is a Washington vehicle and they do use some salt on the roads. The rust is not bad at all but the left shock sure was! First thing I...
Got the Pioneer installed. At first there was no audio so I called Crutchfield tech support, glad I bought the Crux interface from them. He talked me through and we ended up wiring the amp turn on to the accessory wire, not sure why the Crux wasn’t doing it. Sure is nice having a new touch...
Maybe it’s 210. It has to be higher than the thermostat is set to be when it’s wide open. One will come on when the ECM decides it’s needed or the AC is turned on and the second when either the AC is on high or the first one isn’t enough. I do not remember the exact temps. Worry away if that’s...
Changed the oil on the Tahoe I bought, sent the sample in to Blackstone. Hoping it’s good. Not sure of the mileage on the oil, monitor said 10% left. Found a few drips of pink stuff on the crossmember under the trans so I torqued the pan bolts. There were some that were pretty loose. Also built...
They wont turn on in 35 degree weather, probably wont until it gets hot outside unless you’re idling for a long time and it’s at least warm outside. They’re controlled by the ECM and depends on what temp they’re set to, I don’t remember what the stock tune is set to. I think it’s 215 or...
I don’t think so. I never used them anyway. But yeah I love the Pioneers. This one has wireless CarPlay and it connects instantly, which is better than the previous generation which had a lag. I like being able to keep my phone in my pocket.
Changed the oil today, sending a sample to Blackstone. I noticed a few drops of nice pink fluid under the trans pan so I torqued the bolts. It looked like the pan had been removed recently so I’m thinking they changed the fluid and filter. Some of the bolts were pretty loose so I’m hoping that...
I bought the Crux GS-GM29 for $99. The Maestro was way more. I just got it pre-wired to an aftermarket Pioneer harness so I could leave all the wiring in the Denali as is and be able to swap it back in easily. I was dumb and threw the harness that came with the new Pioneer away a few months ago...
I’ve got a few things coming up to do to the Tahoe now. Arnott rear shocks coming from Rock Auto, oil change and send a sample to Blackstone, Pioneer from The Beast is going in after I build the wiring harness and program the interface I bought from Crutchfield, and hopefully remove the dash to...
Did you follow the instructions- first the oxidation removal towelettes until they’re all used up, then wet sand with 2000 and 3000 grit, and then make sure they’re 100% dry and then wipe on the clear coat?
Edit: the only way I see it failing if you did was if there’s stuff on the inside...
Performabuilt Level 3 4L60 rated for 900 HP but with AWD and the weight combined with a blower and my right foot it’s been a problem. I’m nowhere near that kind of power. After the first 2 times I destroyed it they figured out I was screwing myself because I used RTV on the pan gasket both times...
Fill it to the hot line after the truck is fully warmed up and check to be sure it stays that way over a few days. Always check when the engine is off. If it keeps dropping over a few days then you have your answer. If it stays the same then you should be good. Either way, wait a few days before...
It might have got into the harness and it’s still dripping out. Patience. Wait a couple three days without spraying anything else in there, then use your cardboard. Watch the level in the overflow tank.
