You should definitely replace the u-joint clamps with new if you didn’t mark them. They conform to the exact shape of the u-joints when first installed and should never be put in different locations.I failed to do that once and had one break. I got lucky and wasn’t going too fast (although WOT...
I just did the rear shocks and compressor on my 08 on different days. For the shocks I let the suspension hang and then put a jack under each side of the axle as I did each shock so there was no tension on them and the bolts could slide out easy. Pull the inner fender liners for better access to...
There is a known issue with the TB wires right where they connect to the TB. The wires inside the plastic jacket can break and although they look fine on a visual inspection the copper wiring inside can have a break. You should replace the pigtail and solder the wires together and use heat...
Well I’m doing good but still in the middle of the fight. Just finished 4 rounds of chemo and starting chemo/radiation next month. Fighting to save my bladder; they wanted to take it but I persuaded them not to, at least not yet. I feel like I’m beating it, time will tell. :)
All you have to do is look at those two different shocks to see they aren’t interchangeable. The top one is the correct type of mounting, however I do not know if it’s the exact right shock for your truck. Try Rock auto and they will ask for your RPO code which is found inside your glovebox or...
Hey @NickTransmissions I was wondering if you could shed some light on my issue. Something broke in my drivetrain and I haven’t been able to get under it and we what the issue is due to health and weather. I’m trying to see if my Performabuilt Level 3 4l60e is the culprit by hooking up my Tech2...
Depends on if you’re lowered or stock height. Also you could disconnect the shocks and see if it goes higher but be careful and don’t drop it on your head or you’ll be mad at me. :( It’s possible someone replaced them with some that are too short and aren’t allowing full opening because they’’re...
You didn’t mention if the defrost was on. Even in the mixed mode, if the control is set to partial defrost the AC compressor comes on; the system uses it to dry the air out. If the compressor comes on the fans come on. Even in winter mine comes on because the control is always set to defrost or...
I mean, they come with the red Loctite on them from the factory for some reason. I also had to heat mine when removing it but like @adventurenali92 I didn’t use any when reinstalling it and it hasn’t loosened up.
Yeah I don’t see a fuel pump drive module for the 2007, only the 2008 and up according to Rock Auto. Also note that if you do have one, a replacement will need to be programmed with a bi-directional scan tool like a Tech2.
