Removal & Reinstallation of "Roof Panel Joint Finish Molding" -- Any Advice/Experience?

If you want to commit, to filling the seam, use polyurethane , self leveling crack filler….. It will level very flat & smooth, and will probably last the life of the truck. ( Comes in a light , and a dark color. ). Around $25.00 per caulk tube.

I was in a very nice, friend's home… The downstairs bath had a sort of wallpaper…. but it was a 1/4” padded vinyl wall covering... It was like a sound-proof recording studio……. The bath was near the family room…..

What would you guys do here?

Well…. it’s the weekend……. Have a talk with him at the shop on a work day….. Don’t let him know, in advance, what your inquiry is about, or he might create a reason for the missing part, to ‘CYA'. Obviously, be nice, but be practical….. Hopefully, he’ll be ….smart about it…..

What would you guys do here?

True……. But a simple question to the shop, may be an easy resolution….. … Then leave , or let them correct it at their cost. I have seen, a shop, has a lazy employee, and the owner was unaware. ??

What would you guys do here?

Not all mechanics are ‘car guys’…….. many are just “parts installers”….. ( PepBoys as an example )

What would you guys do here?

Apparently, your actuator is ‘manually adjusted’ at the moment…. Fortunately, that part is around $45 bucks. Do NOT buy at a dealer….. they wanted to charge me $145.00. !!

What would you guys do here?

Kenobi said he is not the original owner….. also said, both heat & cooling was operating….. I believe he had that panel opened before,…… maybe he can’t confirm if that screw was there or not….. But same issue is….. what was going on with his mechanic, this time around??

What would you guys do here?

I am so fortunate, I have an honest & smart mechanic……. and fair on his rate. ( not cheap, but fair)

    Anything except HP Tuners?

    I agree…. I never saw the point of a 10 speed on a standard sized truck….. ( I describe it as “over-engineered”…… )
  22. mountie

What would you guys do here?

Photo three….. someone had their fingers on the plastic next to the 3 screws….If your “mechanic” had access to the rear, WHY IN THE HELL WOULD HE LEAVE IT LIKE THAT, AND NOT TAKE CARE OF THAT, AND ALSO NOT TELL YOU???
  23. mountie

What would you guys do here?

That is odd……. Unfortunately, you probably, don’t have a before/after picture of that area…... Be ’nice’ to your mechanic,….. Let him ASSUME, you knew the actuator was there,….. and ask him,.. “ What's the story about my actuator” ?? See what his reply is….. One thought…… have you ever used...
