    If I were you, then, I'd get some valve lapping compound and do the lapping procedure for each valve. Only then can you know if the valves and the seats match on the contact area. However, you won't know if the valve combustion surface is proud or at proper depth, depending on the application...

    It's fairly standard procedure for a machine shop to verify valve sealing when cutting the seats; for this test, at least one cylinder's valves should be used in order to make sure the seat cut (hopefully it's a 3-angle?) matches the grind and diameter of the valve that's going to be used...

    How old is the battery? Have it load tested at a capable battery dealer. After that, remove, inspect, and clean the main battery connections. Don't just eyeball them.

    I may have missed it but are you working on manual HVAC or AUTO HVAC (with digital temp on the head)? Wiring diagrams are different, of course.

    If your hernia surgery is anything like the bilateral repairs I had done 5 or 6 years ago, you'll be golden. Laparoscopy FTW. I don't ever think about mine and never notice any issues. All good, and I pray that yours is the fix.

    Tell us more about the temp valve. Is it an HVAC part (actuator?) or something to do with the A/C system itself? Symptoms? Some part numbers can be found on sites like www.gmpartsdirect.com by entering your VIN there and looking for the part. Then search the internet (eBay, Rock Auto, etc.)...

    Agreed, but I think these will run without the cam sensor. Might have long crank time, though. Easiest first thing to try is clear flood mode. You know, while you're sitting there and it's not starting.

    That seems right with the returnless system. Apparently the fuel pressure regulator is integral to the fuel module (pump).

    60 psi running seems like a lot more than the normal ~43 psi that most of these run with the engine running. But help us out -- or did I miss that info -- year, make, model, engine, and is it Flex Fuel, or gas only?

    Put the oil level at the correct level on the dipstick and document it (mileage and level). Then check it each week -- or at short periodic times -- under the same conditions. Like on the same level ground, after the oil has drained back into the pan, etc. That way you'll have a track record...
