What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I think most people over estimate how much pipe diameter is needed when naturally aspirated. This isn't directed at anyone in particular, just a general observation.

    GM O2 sensor

I will say that while I didn't have any P219A/B codes, I did have issues with my ethanol % creeping higher and higher with successive fill ups of regular (10% ethanol) fuel. Given enough fill ups my ethanol % as read by my Tech 2 would be showing around 50% which obviously was making the truck...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Sorry, I don't know the details of your truck or what you are accomplishing with this work, but... If this truck had AFM before and you are doing a delete then the truck will start but run very poorly, if the VLOM is unplugged, until you turn it off in the tune.

Kbuskill's 2008 Burb LTZ "MOD" Thread

My oldest son went and had a custom set of real deal old school neons made for the Burb, for Father's day, last year. Life has been busy but we finally got them put on the other night. These run a 7.5K volt transformer. We had installed LED Underglow a while back but evidently the...

'07 Tahoe driver door ajar warning?????!!!

Sounds like the switches need to be cleaned. Sometimes just working the switch back and forth repeatedly will take care of it. Other times you have to disassemble the switch and clean them with a pencil eraser.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

It is the plug for the VLOM (Valve Lifter Oil Manifold) which controls the solenoids that control the oil flow to the AFM lifters.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I repurposed some of those wires when I added the physical ethanol sensor to take the place of the virtual sensor.

I know the Avalanche has an antenna on the passenger side cowl so I would have to assume the pickups do too.

    2012 Yukon Air Ride Calibration?

Need is a very strong word. You don't have to, but it won't hurt anything to reset everything and let it start fresh. I would seriously doubt your HF scanner will perform the required reset, unless it is by some chance a bidirectional scan tool.

L92 low hot oil pressure at idle HELP!!!!

Depends on the truck. 2wd = unbolt steering rack and let hang, drop crossmember and pan, unbolt pickup tube and replace O-ring. There is probably some other little details I'm forgetting as it has been a while since I did it. 4wd requires dropping everything mentioned as well as the front...

    Door handle suggestion

Just saw this. The grab handle is solid metal, so all of the pivoting portions are metal. The only plastic is the ends and the black plastic piece that goes between the handle and the door. They are SUBSTANTIALLY heavier than OEM handles. I can't speak to longevity at this point as I just...

Down shifting at highway speeds on it's own.

Some more info would be helpful, such as Year, Make, and Model. This will help to determine which transmission you have.

Will a lithium battery ruin my alternator?

I just had to replace my Optima Red Top at just over 5yrs of use. It was still working OK but when under the hood I noticed the top starting to bulge so I didn't want to take a chance. This time I replaced it with a SuperStart Platinum AGM battery from O'Reilly's. It has a 4yr warranty which is...

Kbuskill's 2008 Burb LTZ "MOD" Thread

Not any thicker, it is a NOS (New Old Stock) wheel so OEM, it has just been sitting on a shelf somewhere collecting dust until now... lol It does appear to be more of a flat looking leather without any sheen to it, which I assume is the way the original wheel was when new and the leather kind...

Kbuskill's 2008 Burb LTZ "MOD" Thread

I did not, probably should have, but they didn't look to be much different from the new ones. They look really good though for nearly 100k miles and out of an engine with this many miles though, right? I was kind of surprised to be honest, although she runs great so I guess I shouldn't be...

Kbuskill's 2008 Burb LTZ "MOD" Thread

Yeah, I saw those. I may get one and try my hand at it now that the old one is off the truck. My concern with never having done one was being rushed and it not turning out right and then I would have wasted more time/money. I may get one and if it turns out good just keep the old wheel as a...

Kbuskill's 2008 Burb LTZ "MOD" Thread

Almost forgot, I have had a slight coolant leak for a while and finally figured out where it was coming from. It was leaking at the passenger head where the steam port cross over tube bolts down at the front. So I installed this instead... https://a.co/d/9UtUj7q I could have just installed a...

Also pulled the NGK Ruthenium plugs yesterday to look at them since they were approaching 100k miles and to do a "Top end soak" with Berrymans carb dip. My oldest son inadvertently broke one of the plugs when removing it so I unfortunately had to replace all of them because I couldn't bring...

Kbuskill's 2008 Burb LTZ "MOD" Thread

Yep, I checked with them and decided I didn't want one that bad... lol I believe they wanted like $1700 or something. I checked with several places, prices ranged from $900-$1700. The only place I found to be "reasonable" was through CarID, a company called B&I Trim. They do dash kits and they...

Kbuskill's 2008 Burb LTZ "MOD" Thread

Got tired of looking at the old ripped up wheel... I was wanting one of the wheels they used to make with wood at the top and bottom, but I can't find anyone making them any longer. So this is my compromise... NOS wheel with wood spokes. Definitely better than before.
