Extended Warranty on 2026 Tahoe LS 4WD 5.3L

There is only so much "comfort/safety" that a driver needs. I wonder how we ever got by driving for the last 100+ years. Busy stuff in front of you means less time watching the road ahead. Plus, the cost of it all is so over inflated and yes, it is "keeping up with the Jonse's" and money flying...

Tip: Replacing front turn signal bulbs

Two methods for solving the access problem: 1. Like @Doubeleive said, remove secondary battery tray and get in there. You gotta have eyes in the ends of your fingers. 2. Buy a GMT800 and drive with a smile.

Ready to Junk it; 2007 Yukon 5.3 EVAP

One of two things. Either clear the code and drive it or look from front to back for a leak. Last time I had something like that was on a Jeep Liberty that had a line rubbed a small hole that could not be seen till pulled the line away for a better look.

    Accept Buy-Back or Not

Anything with an OE touch screen has problems. Buy a GMT800 and be done with the problems and pocket the savings. Most comfortable seats, anyway.

Tip: Replacing front turn signal bulbs

So many problems come with any vehicle of any make/model/year, when they have a dash display. I work on my landlord's 2018 Suburban and I am not looking forward to doing any front light/bulb work.

Tip: Replacing front turn signal bulbs

I believe the remedy for the bulb replacement conundrum is to buy a GMT800.

Dealership suggests new engine. Your take?

I believe the Speediagnostix report is now $65. It was $50 at the time of the one I posted here. I could also be wrong about the $65 and you should do your own research. Still a very detailed and concise report for $65, though.

There are just some days I wish I didn't turn wrenches

Recently I was working on a 2010 F150 5.4 with a fluttering oil pressure needle on my mechanical gauge from my tool box. I wanted to see what it would say/do while driving. I went to my local O'Reilly's and they did not have extended lines to attach and read the oil pressure, in the cab while...

2003 GMC Yukon traction control/limp mode

Yea, @Fless said it best. You are in the dark right now. You can get inexpensive code readers that can at least get you to the starting line with code(s). Otherwise, you will be shooting the "parts cannon" at this. The wheel speed sensors is a good guess. I would normally ask if any work had...

Can I get some real help, just got humiliated at dealership?

Like @Joseph Garcia was alluding to, @2018YUKONSLT, find an independent shop that you can trust and find them thru recommendations from friends. When I ran shops, I made sure the front area and the shop was clean and not cluttered. Usually translates to organized/thorough work out of the shop...

Can I get some real help, just got humiliated at dealership?

When I have looked for used vehicles before, I always always always ask for either a very detailed CarFax or paperwork/documentation of repairs/maintenance of the vehicle history. If there is none, I count off the asking price, starting at $1000. With the paperwork, the value is closer to asking...

What @Doubeleive said about the headliner. There are sun shade replacements that are available at ebay but the headliner shop can do that too.

Can I get some real help, just got humiliated at dealership?

To try and help explain the length of time that it took for the a/c to go from cold to warm.....When work is done for a leak or if just charging a system that is low, you need to be aware that a/c systems are not supposed to leak...AT ALL. Topping off a system is just adding back the refrigerant...

Can I get some real help, just got humiliated at dealership?

I get to say it again and again. Members get on here about buying service contracts or extended warranties. I dealt with them in the shops. There are plenty of shops/dealers that just play the game. I never ever ever recommend extended warranties, from ANYONE. From the day you buy a vehicle, new...
