    If it was a Cherokee, it would be, but the Grand Cherokee is a bit different. It does have the oil cooler set up but is a bit different design and at 135k miles on this one, I did not see the oil bath like I did on another neighbors Cherokee.

    Welcome to the forum, from Oregon. The slight noise I heard, sounds like an air leak. Putting performance components/parts in a 170k+ miles engine, can cause some exaggerated wear.

    On my GMT800 2005 Tahoe Z71 5.3, the thermostat in it is a 207 degree thermo. That is normal.

    With all this in mind, you need a Live Data scanner attached and monitor the data and the dash gauge. When the system is hot and holding pressure, those hoses will be hard.
