Nolathane Control Arm Bushings - How to Install?

That’s hilarious they sell and tool and did not direct me to that but instead acted like I was stupid for not already knowing. No shop swaps bushings any more.

Nolathane Control Arm Bushings - How to Install?

The Nolathane bushings have the metal case as part of them, the whole thing has to be pressed out.

    GM 6L80 Transmission Information Thread

You can’t put a 2011 transmission into a 2007. The valve body and TEHCM are different. You will have to swap those but keep the speed sensor on the top of the valve body from the 07.

Nolathane Control Arm Bushings - How to Install?

Has anyone done the Nolathane control arm bushings for these trucks? I bought one set but haven't figured out exactly how to get the stock bushings out without damaging the arms. There's no way to put them in a press to get them out because of the direction they need to bhe pushed out, the...

    Fuel Pump

Thanks for that info but I’m not interested in doing all that. I want a drop in solution or I’ll just use the factory Flex Fuel pump. This is a pretty mild build. The 13 is only running 6 PSI and I did go down one pulley size for the 08 but I doubt it’ll be more than 8 PSI.

    Fuel Pump

This is for the 2008 that doesn’t have Flex Fuel. I guess I could leave it and see if it runs out of fuel and do it later if needed. The OEM Flex Flex fuel pump seems to be readily available. The 13 has basically the same setup (the only difference is I’m going to use a 3.2” pulley on the 08 and...

    Fuel Pump

Are there any drop in fuel pump options that don’t require a return line setup? I have a Magnuson for my 2008 and it currently has a small cam so I’m sure my factory pump isn’t up to the task. I’m trying to see if there’s something better to go with than the factory flex fuel pump from a later year.

I have those pictures saved, too. Love those wheels.

In search OF lowering kit advice...

It’s simple but you’ll need an alignment and it will drive terrible because the ball joint angles will be wrecked.

Corsa 3” Muffler 16TA2019 - Sounds like Sport

I am selling a Corsa 16TA2019 muffler that is 3” center-in and out. It was sold as the Touring option for a 14-18 5.3L but when I put it on, it sounded exactly the same as the Sport muffler that I had on my 2013 6.2L. Corsa then told me that it’s called Touring because its the quieter of the two...

GMC YUKON (07-14): XB HYBRID LED HEADLIGHTS-unboxing/output

Take them to a body shop and have them clear coat them and they should last. PPF is another method that works well and also provides protection against rock chips, but these headlights are pretty curved where they meet the fenders and it’s hard to PPF that spot, so it could come up a tad short...

Looking for opinions on Head Unit.

It’s looking like if I mount mine where I think I can, the vents won’t be blocked or maybe just the very bottom inside corners. The DIC buttons will be partially blocked but I think I’ll still be able to get to them well enough. I just don’t like the small 7” screen on the JVC since it’s smaller...

Looking for opinions on Head Unit.

I didn’t think you could use any of the floating screen ones that were attached to the radio chassis in an Escalade because the chassis is far too deep and the screen sticks out so much the shifter hits the screen in drive. Kenwood just came out with a number of 10.1” radios and they have...

Looking for opinions on Head Unit.

The quality of the components is what you paid $1000+ for. My $500 JVC radios have all the features I want but the $1000 Kenwood radio in my car has a significantly better looking screen, it boots up in 1/4 of the time, connects to CarPlay almost immediately after booting, the whole thing just...

    07 Escalade lowered ride quality

The state of the entire car industry is disappointing. All the parts are garbage, the aftermarket parts are bigger garbage, and everything is discontinued after 5 years. It’s getting impossible to keep an older car on the road.

Need a Quieter Muffler for Headers

I installed the Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator this morning and went back to my original Corsa Sport muffler and it reduced the volume at hot idle from ~81db to ~74db. Pretty much every bit of rasp is gone, which kind of stinks since I do like the raspy sound, but you probably can't have it quiet...

Need a Quieter Muffler for Headers

It absolutely can. The real Corsa Touring muffler for the 07-14 6.2L exhaust was flor straight through and quieter than the stock catback with the headers on my 2008. I wish I hadn’t trashed the stock exhaust from the 13 since the dual exhaust has two mufflers, it would definitely be quieter...

Need a Quieter Muffler for Headers

I’ll look into those. I’d still like my 08 a little quieter also but that isn’t a huge priority. I ordered the Vibrant Ultra Quiet since I think I can squeeze it in front of the muffler on the LWB.

Need a Quieter Muffler for Headers

Corsa actually said it would be better to put it before the muffler but didn’t explain why. A coworker of mine said he has a used 3” Vibrant Ultra Quiet, so he’s going to bring it and we’ll see if it’ll fit. Corsa told me the pipe in front of the muffler is still in production, so I can replace...

Looking for opinions on Head Unit.

Oh, don’t even bother. The software is terrible and in broken English. I tried so hard to make it work because it was pretty cool, but it was not intuitive, very buggy, and they couldn’t fix it. The HVAC control was essentially unusable. I also didn’t like everything had to be launched manually...

Yes, they came on all the K2 trucks and are hugely problematic for making a squeaking noise on acceleration.

Looking for opinions on Head Unit.

I put a JVC KW-M795BW in both of mine using the Maestro RR plus related harnesses. I used the AI GMK265 dash kit to keep the radio at the top and it looks ok to me, the looks was the biggest reason I resisted an aftermarket radio for so long. The JVC is reasonably priced with all the features I...

Need a Quieter Muffler for Headers

Yes, the muffler is clamp in. I was hoping that would allow me to do something without welding. I looked under my 08 when I was driving it the other day and there is zero room to put a resonator. I forgot to look at the 13 yesterday, but it is a LWB, so maybe there would be room between the...
