I prefer the normal hitches. I don't like the looseness of the adjustable ones nor do I trust a lot of them for pulling anything overly heavy.
Usually one drop size will do even if you're towing multiple trailers.
What are you trying to accomplish with this?
If it's rusty unless you get all the rust off it first painting it is only going to end up making it worse in the long run. You're better off getting it oil coated with something.
If it's clean and want to freshen it up or cover up any spots where the...
You shluld be able to trust it but still pay attention. But when you're having to parallel park a few times a week you should be able to become a pro at doing it yourself pretty quickly.
I thought the lift gate release is completely power that even with the handle you have to press the button behind it? Not working could well be related to the other electrical problems.
Check car-part.com for some local yards with a Tahoe or Yukon. I was able to get front seats, civilian console and some other trim for my Charger that way.
You get what you pay for. Other then the high engine hours is it what you want?
It's a higher risk of issues being a retired police vehicle but the risk is still there with a regular one too and the savings Getting it directly from an auction cheaply leaves a pretty decent amount left over for...
They don't need to road test for air conditioning. It also doesn't really matter what the temperature is outside because they do the work in a heated shop. They'll tell if there is cold air coming out or not. It's pretty much guaranteed the hissing noise isn't a refrigerant leak. Like what's...
Did the warranty cover the AC repair? Just wondering because its hard to tell from the invoice. It looks like only the fuse box issue was covered.
This is probably a hard one. AC systems can have a very slow leak that could stay fixed for a while until they stopped working. But they should be...
The timeline IS relevant.
You brought it in with an AC problem. They diagnosed it and came up with a problem and and as far as they know because you didn't go back they fixed it. Any warranty would be on their original repair not the entire system. If the hissing sound inside was the leak to...
Canadian vehicles have the same tail lights as US.
They do ususlly have block heaters standard.
It's daytime running lights that some of the the front lights are on all the time.
I've never noticed it in these but sometimes certain options on US vehicles are standard on Canadian ones because...
There's lots of good brake info around if you search the forum. Use Rock Auto or ant online cross reference to help determine what parts are compatible between years and models. If you do start switching parts around keep a record of whilst you've done or it could turn into a headache later...
Did it go dead over night or has it been sitting? Listen for the fan when the battery is fully charged or replaced and working properly. Newer vehicles do strange things when the battery is very low. But that could also be a sign there's something else wrong.
I've always beem happy with the 5.3 although the later year ones are a bit laggy off the line. A lot of people have said it's the tuning.
My old 04 was similar in speed to the bigger engine, didn't need premium and had proper 4x4.. which isn't an issue since they don't stick you with AWD anymore...
Moving tires around wouldn't hurt. Any slight brake drag can also cause issues. Do you have a big empty parking lot around you could try driving through?
When it's nothing else usually good alignment techs know how to make slight adjustments to correct for pull.
Oh boy I'd just love to hear what your definition of 'normal maintenance' is when you think having to regularely charge a battery on your own is in the same lines as checking air in tires. Sounds like you've been running around for years with dud batteries or a bad charging system and don't...
Checking tire pressure is part of normal maintenance. Having to use a battery charger or tender to make a battery last in a vehicle that gets driven regularely isn't. If it's only driven occasionally then yeah charging them once in a while is a good idea.
