    There's also a year range that's compatible. In this case looking up used engines they only list 2007 and 2008. They used the same 8th digit vin letters beyond compatible years.

    No problem! You can download the manual if you have one from the wrong vehicle (asin not a yukon one). But as long as it's for a similar year and yukon or tahoe you're not missing much.

    We have a 2017 Tahoe Premier and I love it. Previously had a 99 an 04. Still have the 99 actually.. The 04 miiiigt still be my favorite because it drove great and I liked the style but less to go wrong then the newer one.
