Anyone running Mobil One High Mileage Extended Performance?

Wondering if anyone has experience running Mobil One High Mileage or High Mileage Extended Performance. My odometer is approaching 160k. I've been running regular 10w30, but replacing the 6th quart of oil with a quart of Lucas (100% petroleum), which helps a lot with quieting lifters at...

Recommendations for proximity alarm w/pager feature?

Indeed. I have a camera pointed at the truck 24/7... When it got stolen the first time, I had a nice clip of footage of the headlights turning on, and it driving away. The police officer I spoke with submitting the theft report told me that if I had a clear shot of their face, they would very...

Recommendations for proximity alarm w/pager feature?

I've replaced the glass approx 40-50 times in the last 5 years. For a while I started leaving the doors unlocked to save money on glass replacements, but started finding used syringes and weird smells in my truck, so now keep it locked. The thieves however have become more savvy, and now...

Recommendations for proximity alarm w/pager feature?

My truck has been stolen twice in the last year. Each time recovered days later smelling like strawberry swishers, things missing, torn up. So, I disconnect the battery, as well as pull various relays to prevent it from being started when parked. Now, it keeps getting broken into (every few...

    Suspension lift and Autoride?

Indeed I saw those complete BDS kits, but they are $2100... which is a tad more than I was hoping to spend. I’m wondering if a regular lift kit will work if I also install shock extenders and relocation brackets (if I can source the individually), along with extending the height sensor rod?

    Need help lifting w/ Z55

So I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while, but still confused... Wondering if someone can help. I’m trying to lift my 2001 Yukon XL 4x4, which has the Z55 Autoride (self leveling) suspension. I’d like to retain Autoride functionality, and raise her up 3 to 3.5” in front and 2.5 to 3”...

    What 6" Lift To Choose?

Awesome idea to cut the wire and have that fuse accessible for other purposes. I was hoping to retain Autoride functionality, so would any lift kit work, as long as I got some shock extenders, relocation brackets and rod extenders? Or what would I need? (Sorry don’t mean to threadjack)

    What 6" Lift To Choose?

Did any of your guys’ trucks come with Autorode from the factory? How did you get around that?

    Suspension lift and Autoride?

Most kits require to disable the Autoride, but I’d like to retain it. Can I just get some relocation brackets foe the rear to make it work? Anyone lifted their truck with Autoride??

    Suspension lift and Autoride?

I’d like to lift my 2001 Yukon XL 3” front and 2” rear. (or even 2.5” front and 1.5” rear) I have Autoride suspension, and wondering what options are available to retain Autoride functionality?

    Did Avalanche/Esky EXT have a G80??

Did the trucks with the Borg Warner also come AWD? Were there any 03-06 Avalanche/Eskies that came with a 4x4 option? Or weren’t they all AWD?

    Did Avalanche/Esky EXT have a G80??

Hmm okay, in that case is the Borg Warner also a locker?

    Did Avalanche/Esky EXT have a G80??

Wondering if the 2003-2006 Avalanche or Esky EXT came with an optional G80? or were they all AWD? Can anyone confirm this?

Best pager car alarm for our trucks?

My Yukon was stolen (I live in a 3rd world country called San Francisco). The cops found my truck a week later. The seat was adjusted alllll the way forward and the stereo was set to Espanol. Luckily my stereo was still there, but I had these big steel frame beams in the back with the seat...

    2000 Tahoe amp bypass

I had similar issues and bought the amp bypass designed for our trucks (eBay for like $50), plug and play so no rewiring required. Also keep in mind that once you do this, you will need to bypass the rear audio controls (if you have them). Super easy though.

2002 yukon xl question about the speakers

If your speakers are original, they are more than likely shot, you should replace the four door speakers. There is an amp behind the glove box, you need to bypass it and either power your new speakers via your new head unit or an aftermarket amp (depends on which speakers you choose). There is...

Esky to Denali front end conversion

Will it work? I know the common conversion is Yukon to Denali, but will the same swap bolt onto an NBS Esky? (I may have the opportunity to pick up a clean 05 Esky with front end damage, and think the Denali front end looks a heck of a lot better).

    Sound deadening/ general system build

Stopping wires from rattling is important indeed, yet dampening metal panels to prevent reverberating, as well as increasing the density of the baffle between the speaker enclosure and interior of the car to reduce cancellation waves are what boost bass and clarity.

    What to do. Help

The amps in these trucks seem to go bad one channel at a time, so likely your culprit. Depending on which Pioneer you have and the RMS rating of the speakers, you might not need an amp, and just power the speakers directly by the Pioneer. If you decide to install an aftermarket amp, you will...

    Sound deadening/ general system build

Btw there is a company which makes speaker pods to fit 6.5” speakers onto the D-pillars, but they’re a bit pricey at $110 https://www.customspeakerpods.com/product-page/d-pillar-speaker-pod-for-6-5-00-06-gmfst If you go this route, might be a good idea to cut out a portion of your actual...

Nicely done. I just went through the same process...
