I'll look into it more.
Anyone have any comments on the BDS kit aside from just that it's good? Like how many miles on the BDS kit and if you've had to change any ball joints or stuff like that yet.
Hm. Ya I've tried searching for a Trailmaster kit for the tahoe and they only show for pickups. That's good to hear you have that many miles on it and no problems
You're truck looks great! Love the stance. I tried looking up the trailmaster kit but looks like it's only for silverado's. Was there a kit that you got for yours or did you just use the silverado kit and then what did you do in the rear?
I'll have to check them out.
I'm not too concerned with being a true 6" lift. As long as it fits 35's with no issues then I'm good with it. I'm mainly concerned with reliability and longevity. As well as how easy the kit is to install (not as much welding/cutting) since I'll be installing it...
I currently have a 97 Tahoe but looking to upgrade to a 00-06 Tahoe Z71 soon. When I get it (hopefully in spring) I want to do a 6" lift. From what I've been reading the most common 6" lifts seems to be BDS, Rough Country, and ProComp. The Rough Country kit is the most appealing to me since it...
Ok I talked to a local audio shop to see what I could test and they gave me a couple tests. First I just hooked up a known working speaker directly to it and it still had distortion. So that meant that the distortion was coming from the head unit or amp. I took a head phone jack to rca cable and...
I recently figured out that my body to frame ground and ground from secondary battery to body were bad and I fixed those. This was causing both my sub amp and speaker amp to have no power and after I got it fixed I went for a drive to listen to my stereo again and everything was good. The next...
thanks! ya def looks good!
now my question is a 305 tire on a 16" rim and a 305 tire on an 18" rim stand the same height? i have heard you can fit a 305 with a 3" body lift like i have but didnt know if the rim size changed that at all.
well took it all out last night and did some testing and turns out its the ballast thats bad. and its the same ballast that i had sent out to them that wasnt working to begin with when i got them the first time. so here we go again. at least their lifetime warranty :D
couple days ago my driver side bulb started flickering for the first time. I installed them a couple of months ago. then the other night the bulb went out entirely. I checked the connection and everything is good and connected still. the ddm site said it could be due to not having enough power...
only reason i say 4" over the 6" is just cuz i already have the body lift. I also park downtown in a parking structure for school and my antenna already hits the top w/ only the body lift so i figured 6" sus. lift i would have to pay more to park somewhere else that is just as safe. i just didnt...
i already have a 3" body lift and am considering a 4" suspension lift. i was wondering if people could post up some pics of their rides with 3 + 4 lift. another thing i was looking at was which kit is the best for the money. the rough country 4" kit seems to be the cheapest and also seems to be...
yes i used a heat gun to remove the moldings then used an eraser wheel to remove the rest of the adhesive. After that i sprayed some brake clean on a rag and wiped the areas down.
i've debated taking the LS badges off. i would like it better with them off but i'm afraid that there will be too...
dont buy ebay headlights like that as they will prolly fog up again like you previously experienced. another option would be to smoke out the tyc headlights yourself. just bake the headlights in the oven to remove the front cover then use a tinting paint to smoke out the reflectors. similar...
hmm i'm not sure about the ground thing. i swapped the ballasts around and when i switched them the passenger side became the side that flashed on once and went out real quick and the driver side stayed on like normal. because of that i'm thinking it has something to do with the ballast. i'm...
