    Another MPG Thread?

I’m not piggybacking because the other thread is about RST. I’m really happy with this truck after 2 months of ownership, which includes 1,100 miles or so of towing. I didn’t average this in the 3 previous Traverses.

Extend my warranty past 36,000 or Not??

I’ll be in the same boat soon, based on miles. Thanks for the responses. GMEPP is what I’m leaning towards

    Tahoe 1 Explorer 0

^^^ Nothing wrong with the GT ecoboost, except the ZR1 with the LT5 spanked it at VIR. Aside from that, the GT is an amazing car.

    Tahoe 1 Explorer 0

Eco boost guys think they’re fast, mainly because a V8 is becoming a unicorn at Ford. I can understand them trying my Tahoe, but my vette and Camaro? Much like ricers, they’re persistent buggers. Even after getting their doors blown off, they’ll line up again at the next light. Give them an A...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Fabric “itch” tape along the edges I marked, on both sides. Was getting a “rubbing” noise along those edges on rougher roads. Completely silent now on all road surfaces. (I stuck the tape on the inner edge of the “leather” looking upper bezel. Obviously, you don’t want to see a bunch of ugly...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yes, v2. I bought the kit, includes 4 applicators (2 for wheels), 2 very high quality buffing towels (trust me on towels, I’m a high quality towel freak) and 3 separate bottles of formula; paint, glass and wheel/calipers (high heat areas). About $180 for the kit at autogeek. It’s enough to do 5...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

AJS, since you have a long journey ahead (lots of big panels) and if you plan on applying it yourself, my recommendation is pinnacle. I’ve used Cquarts helping a friend do his car. Based on my experience, Pinnacle was easier on and easier buffed and has lasted longer than I expected. To be fair...

Lol. Sorry buddy, wanted to do an upclose shot of the paint. I’ve circled the area I took an upclose pic of on this shot.

Here’s a pic of my black car. The quarter panel is wrapped with Xpel, then I ceramic coated over the Xpel, the liftgate is not wrapped with Xpel, only ceramic coated. Still looks pretty clean 2 years after ceramic was applied.

Beautiful! Yes, I learned long ago, the less you touch a painted surface (especially black), the longer it will stay perfect.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

You’re a brave man. A black vette is enough to drive me insane. But a black Suburban ? So many panels, so little time. I’m giving a friend of mine a lot of grief over his all black RST on order. Seriously though, the ceramic helps tremendously

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

^ A fellow Michigander. I used Pinnace Black Label, 2 coats, 2 yrs ago when I picked up an all black car and had it Xpel wrapped. Loved it, but thought since it's "non professional", meaning available to the public, it would be a short term, crappy product. Here I am, 2 years later, still...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Finally had a chance to wetsand, polish and ceramic coat it. Started yesterday after work around 5, took today off and just finished now. The Good part is it’s a lot of flat panels, the Bad part is, God, so many flat, big panels. Thought I’d never see the end of it. But I’m glad it’s finally done

Request for DIY Oil Change info/sticky

I too find it a bit odd that I can't seem to find any stickies on common stuff. But I'm new here, maybe I'm missing them. Anyway, I have a 16 5.3 Tahoe. One of the easiest modern trucks when it comes to oil changes: Filter: PF63 OR PF63e Drain plug: 15 mil Oil: 0 20 (I use Mobil1 full...

16 Tahoe Center Console Trim Removal

I'm rather new here, thought I'd find stickies on these kinds of questions. If I missed it, please point me in the right direction. Anyway, I'm getting a bit of noise in the center console area. I have "itch" tape (fabric tape) from a buddy of mine who is a dealer service tech. I googled the...

Random rotten egg smell through Ac vent?

Has the in-cabin filter been replaced. Used to get weird, random smells in my Traverse before the filter swap.

^^^ 16 z51 and 13 1LE. The Camaro is more muscle than sports, but with the 1LE package, it actually does what American cars couldn’t do for decades, it loves corners. Fun car at road course events for sure.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

After driving it 1,200 miles last week, parked it and pulled out the sports cars. Winter storage is around the corner, plenty of time to enjoy the Tahoe in the cold months.

Any advice for front end protection?

It’s a DD, so not going to spend the money I did on my “fun cars” to Xpel. However, any advice on a pre-fitted stretch material to protect the front end (especially the countless bug splats on the radiator due to the giant grille design?) looking for something to use on long highway trips...

Feels like I am driving over rumble strips.

It’s GM’s 8speed auto TC curse. On Corvettes and Camaros, they call for a reprogram and a triple flush. I’m new to the truck world, I’m assuming the same procedure on the 8speeds applies here.

TRT, Tow Rig Tuesday...show what ya tow

Just installed and wired the new trailer brake controller and a 16” light bar behind the grille (wife not happy about the light bar, but there’s a bit of a country boy in me I guess). Anyway, all ready to tow to Corvettes at Carlisle next week. Love this truck. Have had it for a month and...
