    That’s the Escalade EXT third brake light. FYI…. It DOES NOT fit the SUV hatches. It mounts on where the sail panels meet the midgate setup on the EXT. the bottom side of is not at all shaped like the SUV setup for the tailgate style hatch glass.

    Interesting. I’ve pulled apart a couple sets of mirrors and the caps I’ve pulled apart all had plastic snapping clips holding them in place on the mirror housing and no double sided adhesive anywhere.

    Did you check the opposite end at the trans just to be sure? It does need to be under tension to pull the linkage at the trans from park.     The upside to the storm was that it gave us a super fun day to ski with my sister, bro in law, and the kids. They loved getting fresh tracks in the powder and just enough coverage to play around off the edges of the trails and some little rip runs through some of the trees.
