Dealer had my 24 Yukon painted without my permission.

Closest GM dealer to me is at least an hour’s drive away on a good day with no traffic, down at the base of the mountain I live up on. So it’s not hard for me to believe that the OP is 2 hours away from a GM dealer. We just dont get big car dealerships like GM in small towns. In fact we don’t...

    Differential cover bolt torque specs

Hey guys! 2006 Yukon XL Denali AWD is what I’m working with. Searched around and couldn’t find precisely what I’m looking for. Lots of other models year specs but can anyone provide proper torque specs for the bolts holding cover to rear differential to housing? Mine were loose today and a...

    10Lxx vs 8Lxx vs 6Lxx Replacement for 4L65

I’d be curious to see if it’s doable and see a process for it…. For “research” of course. But with maybe a more serious ultimate goal…..

The lawsuit should have been for more $

I’ll never buy another “aftermarket” extended warranty. When I bought my Denali I paid for an extended warranty on it, less than a year in, my transmission kicked the bucket and it was supposed to be covered in the warranty. My Denali ended up sitting close to 6 months while I battled the...

Sunroof track arms have snapped - any experience with a fix?

I sourced good control arms and the little spring loaded clips for the wind deflector out of a Denali in a junkyard a few years back. It still doesn’t go up, it just stays down when I open the sunroof so I just said whatever and figured the deflector can stay down. Like you said the sunroof...

Light bar mounting in lower bumper opening

No bull bar for me either. Not the look I want for my Denali. Plus….. I was lucky enough to score a rare Denali down under grille for my truck not long after I bought my truck. And mine is the full piece that goes all the way across the lower opening. A bull bar would mean I’d have to mount the...

    Expedition Max to Yukon XL?

Glad you’re liking the Denali XL! I agree they ride pretty great considering how big and solidly heavy they are and they ride pretty well when towing!

    My 2013 Yukon XL 1500

Nice work on the lifter!! Way beyond my skill set under the hood! I’m impressed! Hopefully you can get it to pass smog! That stuff is so annoying here in California. I hate it lol.

Upgraded wheels and tires from a 2023 z71 on my 2004 tahoe

I believe the latest gen Z71s, both tahoes and Silverados with 20 inch wheels are coming out of the factory on 275/60/20 tires, which I think the OP said his wheel and tire setup came from a Z71. Looks to be that size from the photos.

    Plastic Engine Cover

I’m in the crew of “that’s what was on my engine before I touched it, so it needs to be put back together exactly as it was before I disassembled it” mindset. I managed to break the passenger side cover on the corner where the rear bolt goes through today when i went to put new spark plugs in……...

RENAMED!! The adventures of Chase and his 2006 Yukon XL Denali!! Follow along on my travels!

Told the gal at autozone just gimme the most expensive option for plugs you have. Ended up with Bosch plugs. Truck fired right up and tech2 showed no misfires so should be good to go.

RENAMED!! The adventures of Chase and his 2006 Yukon XL Denali!! Follow along on my travels!

Finally got time to do spark plugs. I’m not gonna lie…… I swore…. ALOT!!! The drivers side, odd numbered cylinder plugs absolutely sucked. I was constantly slamming my hands into everything in the way on the drivers side. The #8 cylinder on the opposite side of the block was WAY easier than the...

RENAMED!! The adventures of Chase and his 2006 Yukon XL Denali!! Follow along on my travels!

All finished up and reset the oil life monitor. And I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again….. I absolutely hate the god awful location of the oil filter on these engines. It’s the stupidest design ever and such a PIA….. it fights me….. EVERY…. SINGLE…. TIME… I’m over how much effort it...

Oil change interval time. Was gonna push it off til the first of the week because work has me going non stop. But my mom called today in a panic…. First trip with 2024 Yukon Denlai XL 6.2

your 2011 is easier to park because it IS smaller than your 2023. The 2023 models are absolutely taller, a tad bit wider in the body, and longer than the previous gen models.

RENAMED!! The adventures of Chase and his 2006 Yukon XL Denali!! Follow along on my travels!

Made the trip home today. Left Layton about 8am and had a beautiful drive all the way to St. George. No traffic, 75 degrees all the way with the sunroof open and cruising at 80MPH, clear skies. Listened to the live stream from my home church via YouTube. And then listened to some podcasts. St...

RENAMED!! The adventures of Chase and his 2006 Yukon XL Denali!! Follow along on my travels!

Spent the late afternoon today detailing Bryce’s 2001 Subaru Impreza GC8 that he pretty much built from the wheels up. Don’t know all the specs on it but I think ite got an STI engine from a 2013 STI. Full custom paint job on it. Fun little car to detail. But had to go on an adventure tonight I...
