2020 transmission died with lots of noise

6.2L Escalade and Yukon Denali trims have the 10-speed from 2018-2020 MY. 6.2L Escalade and Yukon Denali trims have the 8-speed from 2015.5-2017 MY. All K2XX 2015-2020 5.3L models have the 6-speed. That's interesting about the aftermarket extended warranty and having to take it back to the...

    All Weather Tire Recommendations.

Just put a set of 285/45R22 Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2’s on the wife’s ‘19 Escalade ESV. They ride really nice and so far perform really well in rain and light snow. So far it’s been a similar driving experience to the original Defender LTX M/S which were hard to beat.

    What can be done?

Personally, I would not be worrying about purchasing a new vehicle at this time, not under these circumstances. And if the dealerships "sales department" hasn't gotten a hold of you in weeks clearly they're not interested in selling you vehicle or taking in your '18 Escalade ESV in on trade...

6.6 Gas L8T Engine Swap in 2015 Suburban

I agree with this and would be my recommendation as well, that's probably a good starting point. Unfortunately the majority of full-size GM SUV customers don't know the value of having a motor that doesn't have AFM/DOD and the value of the additional reliability that brings to the vehicle...

    L8t 427 Whipple charged Denali

This is shaping up to be a great build! I don't have any personal experience with TKR, but they're located about 30 mins south of me and have a very strong reputation for GM transmissions. What year is your Denali? Do you have the 8 speed or the 10 speed transmission? Stall speed on the Circle...

2016 Yukon Denali 4x4 - Options to add Adaptive Cruise Control

I can tell you that with 100% certainty that your ‘16 Denali being 4WD is not the reason it doesn’t have ACC. There are 4WD models equipped with ACC. Yours just simply didn’t have that option added. If it was possible to add ACC it would be a pretty big undertaking. I’m guessing you’d be...

    Reflective Calipers

When they say the reflective vinyl is “high heat resistant” I wonder what the temperature rating is on the vinyl? Brakes get hot! I would also think that brake caliper covers don’t get as hot as the actual calipers.

Disable ACC and use normal CC

I don’t think you have that option, but I could be wrong. My 2015 Yukon Denali XL did not have that option. However, my wife’s ‘19 Escalade ESV has the ability to switch back and forth between normal CC and ACC. It’s done in the ‘19 Escalade ESV by holding down the cruise control button and...

    Body roll

If I were you I’d go back to the dealership that informed you that the current suspension is aftermarket and ask them to put it back up on the lift in their service bay and show you which parts/components of your suspension are aftermarket. While under there you need to take pictures...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

That looks really good Need a few more details. Did you just put yellow vinyl on the lenses of your stock fog lights? Are the stock fog light bulbs OEM halogen or LED bulbs?

Discolored or faded cargo side panels

Yeah I agree something caused those faded areas on the surface of your interior panels and it doesn't appear to be caused by the sun. If it were from the sun it would be a large gradual area of discoloration. Those type of marks are small and isolated from either direct contact from something...

    Had to scratch the itch!

The front end definitely looks so much better without a front plate; It really irritates me when I see dealers who acts like their "standard practice" on vehicle prep is to install a front license plate bracket and drill directly into the front bumper. Especially when the majority of the states...

Head light noise in 2015 Yukon Denali

I never noticed it so much with the tail lights but would hear the noise you’re referring to with the headlights. You’re Yukon Denali has factory HID low beams so depending on time or day or how dark it is outside the low beams sometimes power on with the unlock button. The noise you’re...

Rear wiper. How audible should it be?

On the ‘15 Yukon XL Denali it is silent. If it sounds like 2 robots getting it in then something is definitely not right. That being said everyone has a different sound tolerance on what’s acceptable and what’s not.

Welcome! You've come to the right place for wealth of knowledge on these SUV platforms, especially if you're a DIYer! They are cross compatible with the same wheel base models. ie Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade cross compatible Suburban, Yukon XL, Escalade ESV cross compatible. There are also some...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Those must be relatively new. Those look nice and super stable. Pricey, but coupled with some poly bushings should provide very long service life.

My wife has a '19 Escalade ESV Premium and admittedly it does have a few nice features over my old '15 GMC Yukon XL Denali and that I still don't think are offered on equivalent MY GMC Denali's: Front Camera - Front bumper camera for parking 360 Degree Overhead Camera View The ability to switch...

Some thug broke into my vehicle and smashed my drivers side window in my '21 Tahoe. Do I have to take it to a dealership?

Damn sorry to hear that. People suck. TBH I would contact a reputable local body shop to do the work. They're going to have to remove your interior door panel, all the switches/harness plugs involved with that, there's going to be extensive glass clean up even inside your door. Make sure...

Escalade Side trim delete! Yay or nay??

Nice! Nothing wrong with that, especially if it’s just a temporary thing. Hell as long as it stays flat you’re probably the only one that knows. What’d you do to black out the chrome trim on the bottom of the window trim reveal moldings? Is that wrapped in vinyl also? If so, how long has...
