    Check the AIC MOTOR , air idle control. It may need to be cleaned. This is assuming that everything else is normal and the engine isn't misfiring on a cylinder.

    Reading the gauges when the compressor is on is the ONLY important part! :) Low side will be about 40-50 at idle and 28-32 at 2000 rpms and you should be nice and cold. The lower the psi at idle will give you colder air at idle, but when over 1500 it may then go too low and cycle a lot...

    Same thing with waterpump on mine 2 weeks ago. Good thing is water pump is gravy easy......even easier if you have efans.

    A/C help

    40 compared to 120 for what? What year is your truck? I assume it uses 134a if 95 or newer. May be your low side cycle switch is not working.....until it sees over 27 psi it won't let the compressor turn on. Just hooking up the can to the system and opening valve to let freon in you...

    AC issue

    How do you know you overcharged it? You may have barely put in enough freon for the compressor to kick on, but not enough to keep the pressure high. Actually we don't have enough info to diagnose, but that sounds like it so far. Did you start empty? How much did you put in?

    If the abs unit is actually working ok, you could pound the brakes a few times on a dirt road to get the abs to cycle, then bleed the brakes like normal. Or drive over 3mph to let abs initialize then jack up all 4 (without turning engine off) and spin one or two tires and hit brakes to cycle...

    I'm not sure why people seem to think that the abs has anything to do with pedal height or firmness? It does not. The pedal will be either soft or low pedal height if there is air in the system, the shoes are out of adjustment, the shoes are on wrong, ot the master is bad.

    E fan question

    You want the temp probe to be on the drivers side (top) to monitor the coolant coming out if the block. If you put it on the passenger side, as soon as the fan comes on it will cool the coolant and you will just be measuring that.

    Like they said, most likely the belt or tensioner. If the belt is still there the tensioner spring might be broken an the belt is super loose.....slipping badly.

    I would check for for vacuum leaks or any thing disconnected . After that clean or replace the iac motor.

    Stupid waterpump was leaking , so new water pump, new windshield , rear sway bar links , and slapped on some rancho rs-5000's.......left rear shock bolt hits the gas tank WTF? Had to bend the mount to get shock off.:emotions122:

    Misfire under HEAVY load

    Under a load vs normal I would suspect the map, clean the maf and check O2 operation. This is assuming the fuel pump is supplying enough flow/pressure and the plugs wires etc are good.
