    Double din

It’s a new Sony headunit - XAV-AX5000. No CD player, only a usb input for stored music and Apple car play / Android Auto when connected to your phone. I liked it because it had a capacitive screen (like the phones use) instead of the old style resistive screen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

How did you “fix the dip”. I have a few spots for touch up on my bumpers and grille. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Good body repair stuff

@Addicted I poked around the interwebs a bit and found a lot of similar reviews of the body adhesive. Thanks for the tips - whenever I'm feeling brave enough I will give this a go. Good news is for rocker panels, they're not that visible so probably easier to do a hack job and still look ok...

    Good body repair stuff

Yeah I suppose that was worded poorly. Lol. I’ve sunk enough $ into the truck that I plan on keeping it for a while (well, that and the cost of NEW ones). I’m not opposed to giving something like this a shot - worse that happens I suppose is that it still need replaced someday! Sent from...

    Good body repair stuff

I guess it's not the beginning of rust - just in fact "rust".:( Not to thread hijack, but rust repair is on my list too.. here are some pictures.

    Good body repair stuff

I have the beginning of rust on the rocker back by the rear of the car, slowly creeping up. Hasn't made any holes yet, just bubbling up. Is it easier to just pay to have someone replace the entire rocker, or is it worth doing this kind of fix? I have a few spots in the lower parts of the...

    Hydroboost problems

http://www.brakeandfrontend.com/operation-diagnosis-and-repair-of-hydro-boost-power-assist-systems/ I found this link helpful when i was trying to figure out if something was wrong w/ my hydroboost. Basically i was getting a lot of noise (air moving) when stomping the brake in park while...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Ah, now I see it in the threads - you can run it through the little crack in the weatherstrip in the middle. That makes sense.

    Double din

I know everyone runs the cables under the driver side floor (under the plastic panels), but how are you getting the cable from the camera into the truck? I’ve heard some people just run it over the seal on the hatch, others have drilled holes under the carpet in the back. I did my stereo...

    Double din

I just did it with the PAC kit from Crutchfield. The new chime is a bit annoying, but turning the volume down works wonders. XM will NOT work, but onstar and SWC work fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Still need to install my backup cam, but unsure of where to get the cable into the truck - don’t want to just drape it over the hatch seal. Saw some vids of people drilling holes in the back, which I’m not super keen on (did buy some rubber grommets and silicone to seal it). Sent from my...

    DIY Freon Recharge

    Thanks all!

    DIY Freon Recharge

Both fans up by the grille are running and heard one kick off when I shut the ac off. Digital control seems to work, but only heats up in stop and go, so probably worth having a shop check the Freon.

    DIY Freon Recharge

So the google-fu is telling me it could be the high pressure sensor if it doesn't kick on?

    DIY Freon Recharge

Good advice guys, I was going for the 'easy fix'. I had a shop tell me the gurgling sound of the A/C kicking on could mean low freon, but who knows. I'll see if I can check the condenser fan kicking on.. This should be obvious when the air is on and you hear the additional fan kick on -...

    DIY Freon Recharge

I have an '05 Hoe that the AC seems to work adequately unless stopped in traffic when the temp is north of 85. I do have a bit of the hissing sound when the A/C is on so maybe my freon is low? I bought one of those DIY recharge kits w/ the valve / pressure gauge on it. Any good / bad reviews...

New here and need help with A/C

Short answer if you haven't tried pulling the fuse, give that a go first and see if the actuator just needs reset.

New here and need help with A/C

I searched for different HVAC issues when I bought my Tahoe used - ended up being fine in my case (think it was the sensor up at the top - blew air in it and seems to work ok). So, even though it wasn't the door actuator I found a few threads about it. Here's a good one I just found by...

Just bought a 2003 Tahoe - My details and questions

I’d do that instead of the load resistors. I hacked together one of those with my motorcycle - a lot easier and not having to worry about the heat the resistors generate. Probably less of an issue on the Hoe, but it’s wicked easy

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Finally had time to plastidip the rear bumper to match the front grille and bumper. Cleaned and detailed the engine bay since it had what looked to be 13 years of dirt and dust in it. Valve covers were black with grease.

    STOCK LOCATION SUBWOOFER SET UPS

I recognize this post is ancient - but if anyone knows a source for these MTX thunderform boxes please let me know (used or otherwise). I like the idea of keeping a 'stock' looking rear and without losing cargo room. One day I'll end up having to have one custom fabricated I'd guess, since...

I recognize this is an ancient post - if anyone has a source for these thunderform boxes or has an old one lying around, please let me know - can't find them anywhere anymore. I'm guessing I'll end up having to one custom fabricated similarly, since I like maintaining the stock look (less...
