Was looking at RockAuto to bulk buy oil filters and noticed they had no AC Delco oil filters.

I ordered 6 from them about 4 weeks ago...4 were loose, 2 were in boxes...packing was horrible and they were filthy. Honestly i thought these were on the back of some shelf or previous returns. Now i know they were the last ones!
I sent them back...
With shipping...cheaper to just get them for $8.44 at WMart...where i know they are new.

Ordered Wix off Amazon and they arrived same day.
Somebody mentioned on another thread about Mobil having a similar oil to the Valvoline Restore & Protect. What is Mobil's called? Might start using that.

I switched to PPE. So far, I'm impressed. A lot more media and they filter down to a lower micron level than anything else I've found. And here's the interesting part... the oil looked notably cleaner/lighter color after my last change.

First Brands is the company that manufactures AC Delco filters along with making Fram, Champion Labs and others, and has filed for bankruptcy.

Wix is owned by Mann-Hummel a German company which also owns Purolator.

Note that (if one is to believe this site) NAPA auto oil filters are now made by Premium Guard, Inc. -- no longer by Wix:

I use O'Reilly's for a lot of parts. The O'Reilly's brand oil and air filters, called Micro Gard, all have WIX part numbers on them.
