    Any hope with this rust?

I did a Rustoration on my '97 Yukon. I used Corroseal on my frame and everywhere else I could reach with a brush. It converts rust into a hard black magnetite coating. I am very happy with the results.

99 Tahoe Basic 4x4 5.7 dies suddenly RESOLVED

The submerged pump on my Yukon had overheated so badly that the connector had "melted". I used to think I was saving money to see how far I could stretch my gas mileage. Never go below 1/4 tank! Changing pump is not too bad, depending on your rust situation. A block of wood on the jack, and...

    Wow at the Pump

Non Ethanol Fuel is no longer available in Canada. They quietly phased it out well ahead of their 2030 goal. I thought I was filling up my truck and motorcycle with the good stuff Chevron 94. But after research, found out they slipped in the corn gas. Prices are outrageous here as well.

    Blower wheel issues

I would check that your blend door actuators are serviceable as well. I have had them fail, and not direct the cool air out of the dash vents. I have also had water pooling in the blower motor duct, causing a multitude of issues.

Saw this at Honda when I was picking up the van. Original owner had traded it in.

    Replacing a worn front suspension

Have you ever done the lower intake gaskets? Mine leaked at the coolant ports and pitted the intake quite badly. I did the fuel spider upgrade at the same time.

    Worn out door hinges

I always throw bearings and bushing that I need to press in, into the freezer for a while. You would be surprised how much they shrink down, and just drop into the boss.

    Replacing a worn front suspension

I had the same issue as you. My torsion bars would not budge. And the truck was only 10 years old at the time. Get the control arm disconnected, and work at driving it forward, clear of the torsion bar at the front. Good luck.

    Replacing a worn front suspension

Last time I removed the lower control arms on my '97 GT, I did Not remove the torsion bar. Mainly because it was seized in there big time. I loosened the lower control arm mounting bolts, pulled down on the control arm, and that relieved torsion bar tension. I placed a jack loosely under the...

    Whelp, Cruise IS working

The multifunction switch/turn signal stalk can be the source of many electrical gremlins on these OBS trucks. My cruise control started working again as soon as I replaced it. I think the wiring takes a beating from the repeated actuation of the signal stalk. Your wires may have found their...
