    AWD vs 4WD

My Denali is hard to turn, and especially after I change out worn steering components (another joy of AWD). I wish I had a true 4WD system, if for nothing else than the gas mileage and ability to turn it off.

    6.0 Cold Start Snorting

2005 Yukon Denali with ~200,000 miles on the 6.0. I'm not driving this truck as much anymore, so when I start it, she's dead cold. I get a big "snort" sound on startup, almost like a piston is pushing air back out the intake. It goes away after the engine is running, but I'm wondering if it...

THE MIGHTY YUKON IS UP FOR SALE!!!! FOR SALE, 2005 GMC Yukon. Original Owner, every maintenance recorded. It has 194,000 miles, and is a solid truck. I would have no problem driving this truck to Canada or Mexico tomorrow. It's been to both countries--TWICE!! Everything works or has been...

Looking for a diesel 4x4 'burb. What to look for??

I have an '05 Denali that I love around town, but my wife and I are looking to move further out of town. Now we are looking for a snow truck (possibly a plow) and long distance hauler, and was considering a 1999 or older diesel 'burb for the job. What should I look for when interviewing...

2005 Denali Yukon won't take fuel- NOT THE EVAP SOLENOID

After much cursing and two busted knuckles from those stupid evap hoses, the vapor canister has been replaced, without a resolution to the problem. Should I just burn this tank and sell the truck?

2005 Denali Yukon won't take fuel- NOT THE EVAP SOLENOID

I have a 2005 Yukon Denali AWD. It won't fuel more than at a sipping pace. It takes about 45 minutes to fill up the entire tank. First, I disconnected the filler tube and ran a piece of bungee through with no issues. Then I came to this forum and discovered the Evap solenoid is a regular...

    Front Hub Squeeka-squeeka Question

I jacked up the truck, and the bearing doesn't feel rough or have any play. I couldn't get the squeeka squeeka sound by hand.

    Front Hub Squeeka-squeeka Question

2005 Denali with AWD, 180,000 miles, well maintained. I have a "squeeka squeeka" sound from the drivers front wheel when turned to the left. It started out minimal and only on hard turns, but now is doing it on even slight turns. Thought it might be the squeal bands on the front pads, but...

DRL to LED Conversion- Won't light up???

I have replaced almost all the incancescnet bulbs on my 2005 Yukon Denali with LED's from superbrightleds.com. I put cool white replacement 3157's in the DRL spot, but they won't come on. Opinions? At first I thought I just had the bulbs in backwards (LED's matter), but they still won't...

    No rear air at all

My rear climate control blower motor went inop as well; I had previously found the burned plug and bypassed it with a quick disconnect. Couldn't figure it out, dug into the rear compartment again. Finally came back and read this thread. My quick disconnect had come undone. Morale of the...

2005 Denali CD Player Replacement Cubby?

Got a pic with the facia removed? I have limited fabrication skills in the apartment. I have the Metra kit, but need to figure out how to attach it.

2005 Denali CD Player Replacement Cubby?

I upgraded my head unit, which doesn't speak the GMC lingo, so my old factory in-dash 6 disc CD changer was useless. I wanted to swap out the factory CD player for a cubby to store cell phones and such. I ordered Genuine GM 15958735 Instrument Panel Cluster Compartment . This part is about an...

What to do with old factory head unit and CD player?

My factory head unit is on her last legs, but the dash multi-disc CD player worked fine until I changed head units last week. Anyone know someone looking for one? I'm just going to pull it and put the cubby in place.

In WAAAAY over my head. Trying to install new head unit

Actually, the Axxess didn't have all the parts in the box, so he put a PAC in it anyways. The new radio is awesome. Should have done this years ago.

No power to rear blower motor.

Look at the big plug under the left kick panel. Take it apart, and check to see if any of the connections are burnt (Hint: probably the big orange wire).
